Upper Pass Lodge is first choice. 2nd Choice would be Blue Gentian. 3rd choice would be Snowden. After that, maybe Rowell's Inn but I know they're trying to sell the place - I doubt it will sell fast (unfortunately).

I'm sure I'll be around that weekend unless I get a wild hair and fly to SLC.

MNIAW - thanks. I’ll book whichever of those is available. Funny story, if I got your handle correct from epic years ago I think I bought a pair of Scott punishers off you. Still have em but getting long in the tooth.

Killington was pretty decent today, and not too busy. Fingers crossed these storms materialize.

That's pretty funny, I popped in for some cans late afternoon so missed you. Keep on snorkeling!

Got a tip about some deeper base north of 89 I hadn't been to in years

Surprised myself stepping out, seem to have gotten used to skiing 3-5/6 over a thin frozen base

    Skiing is still fun

Surreal day in the forest, not a trace of wind at all. The trees were coated with beautiful frost feathers that showered off when the branch was tapped with a pole.

Jay was decent this weekend with a bit of fresh snow. I poked around the woods a little on Saturday, they've filled in nicely but it's still branchy out there, with some sharks lurking as well. the storm's today and later in the week should help make for some excellent tree skiing. they ran the IFSA junior comp on liftline both Sat. and Sun. which was cool to watch from the chair. Sunday the groomers were firing first thing, but got kinda schralped after a while. Overall I was impressed with the amount of natural terrain they've opened up, should be solid as we keep this train rollin. Skiing is fun.Click image for larger version.

I decided not to stay at Cannon for a three day weekend and apparently I missed a good day. Storm over performed with like 8" of peter north goodness.

We tapped out at 6" bob, evening weather reports of more to the south.

Snow quality was very good, as dense as you could want without being wet, skied really well. 8/10

Bopped around bush south with Surface Whore for a while then hiked over for a rock run. Only a half dozen tracks and they left me the right edge upper and left on the lower run.

Went back for another round and although more tracked it wasn't too bad

This on the other hand looked bad, most locals know when to avoid this.

Good times are over as the lift opens tomorrow and it will be dirt bottom bumps before long. Really wish they would take the lift out.

I skied at Stratton today and it was pretty awesome. Not untracked but soft snow everywhere and it snowed hard all day.

Got back to Magic at around 4:00 and got the snowblower working on the 12" we scored.

Pow day tomorrow at Magic but I'll be packing for my trip to the Chic Chocs most of the day before going to Burly to couch surf with Peruvian and Mrs. P. I strongly suspect the West Side will be completely in play tomorrow so for those that can, git some!

Pats Peak had more than a foot of dense snow that I shredded with my kids after work today. Skinny kid skis don't have much float but they still had fun (although I probably had more fun on the big sticks)

Finally made it to BMOM Sunday. With the kiddos lapping the chairs (and a few hours from violence) the wife and I took off to do our own thing uphill.

Scottski and I pre-celebrated his birthday by pillaging in the Catskills.

Sunday he came my way and laid down his cash to ski my mountain.

Have to admit bucket's pics got my attention. Still we were skeptical about Ridge Run. Turns out it was awesome.

After we had beers, went out to dinner and passed out early.

This morning we had coffee and bacon for breakfast, and then headed to his home hill, Hunter Mountain, it was my turn to pay.

I started following him first thing...

    ...and it continued all day...

Great fucking day. Seemed like most of a foot up top.

Always love some Scottski pictures. Met him at the Eurobbi last year, great guy.

2nd mate glad you and the family were able to get out to enjoy Black Mountain of Maine. When the snow fills the woods in, it is a special place. Nice kids through second grade ski free. Lots of free sponsored Wednesday night skiing plus $15 Thursday and $25 Friday tickets make it affordable if you can get away end week. The uphill is my personal baby.

my 2nd choice for so. VT did not disappoint
    expectations exceeded over and over.
by late in day constant snow and white-out gusts had filled in
much of the day's early tracks.

Glad to see some snow and tracks back home for you all.

We’re getting too much good skiing to stop and take any action shots mid-lap anymore.
