Lesson: Don’t stop if you’re skiing alone. Evah!

Head first into a tree well is absolute nightmare fuel. Glad the guy was unscathed.
Thanks all for the advice and offers to meet - sorry to waste your time, unfortunately and perhaps unsurprisingly this isn't panning out and won't be my year to make it back to VT.
I had a friend fall in one at Cannon years ago. It was a "tree well" technically I guess, but it was a cluster of downed trees also. He was hung up upside-down. I had to come in from below to get him out. It was quite comical but would have been a bit of a nightmare if he was alone. Nothing like a west coast well because he had plenty of air. He also said he never wanted to ski with me again...and he hasn't [emoji1787]
^ Had a similar issue in an unnamed (at least publicly) BC spot in SoVT a coupla years ago. I never venture into the BC alone. Luckily, my next door neighbor and frequent skiing partner let me go first. It took us about 5 minutes to extricate me.
I know it's a low bar but Magic has been off the hook good the last 2 days. I skied at Sunapee on Tuesday and it was good but everything at Magic is in play except Pitch Black. Trees, steeps, groomers, bump runs. All so soft and FUN, FUN, FUN!
I have no idea what is going on here.

^^^ "Let's each take some part of our boots off and then walk to the car and see which one's best?"
The dude (in the middle) walked across the whole lot in his socks. Watching the lot clear out is one of our new favorite pastimes. Carnage everywhere.

3" of fluff overnight at Magic and you would think it was a full-on powder day. Another sellout day. Makes Jeff with a G happy (skied a few runs with him and his son).
But it was sooooo good. Got 3 hot laps before the hordes arrived and then took to the unnamed, not on the map trees. Goniff was with me. He took some pics but he doesn't come around here no more...
Plattekill got 8 inches of beautiful snow, and we skied it from first chair to about 2:30. Spoke to Roman tonight, head of the ski school (skis Platts a lot) he said it was the best day of the year so far. It was an odd combo, truly looked low tidish, but it was quite skiable. Tracks to be found all day, including some side country.
Everyone is looking at Weds.

Momentum building…..
I was going to drive from CNY to Littleton, NH Tuesday afternoon. Point forecast predicts 20" on rt4 near Killington over Monday night and Tuesday.
^If the storm pans out, it's going to be sketchy. Drive safe.
I always preferred Lab over Song when we lived in CNY. Lab had some great tree runs.
Leaving now!
