Also tell him that if Ken does something, makes it look easy, then yells up "Damn, that was hairball!" definitely DO NOT try it. Ask me how I know.

Sounds like a haul rope splice will be taking place this week. Hope they can get this thing wrapped up here soon

Anyone think there’s a chance of it spinning this weekend?

If they haven't spliced a haul rope that means they still need to load a bunch of chairs, load test and get a sign off. No way that happens inside a week.

I'd say it will be maybe possible to have lift open by first weekend in December.

I have no clue how long it takes to certify and if they have to schedule some kind of specialized certifier or what, and have them fly in or something...

Tang doesn't post much, but I like the way he thinks. Putting on the foil is a pretty standard response of mine to a variety of situations.

if your not having fun when your skiing your doing something wrong
Agreed, and if you can't figure out how to ski on a crowded trail with ski racers doing drills (meaning you're an idiot or you just suck), then you get an extra bag of dicks.

Pretty sure there's more than enough dick to go around.

Yes, groups of teenagers can be annoying, but I don't think ski racers are any worse (or better) than most other categories of teenager.

And even if you have a lane rented, you're still using the open pistes for drills.

Finally, if you think American ski racers are bad, you should try dealing with the Italians.

All of this is true, and again, I've been on the other side of this numerous times--freeskiing crowded WROD places with race teams, and just like everyone else who isn't skiing the way you'd prefer you just deal with it. Never had an issue, or even close to an issue, but the Abay douchebag quotient was just way too high for things to work well.

Same routine at Sunday River right now and so much better. No bags of dicks necessary here, even with less terrain open.

Meh, not much different from what was skiable at Abay/Loveland last week. Besides, who doesn't love spending time in ME in November...

If it actually snows, the place has a lot of good skiing to be had. It just doesn't happen all that often that we get a base built up and then get fresh snow on top without either a non crystalline precip event, a thaw/freeze cycle, or both.

They would feed a lot more people than a bag of dicks and you could make furry parkas from their skins

Yeah, not really what I was thinking.

This thread feels like the good old days of TGR forums, circa mid/early 2000’s. Good to know it’s still possible.
