I'm not crying foul and I don't disagree with the reality that pushing the edge can have consequences. Just funny when people watch La Liste, Born in Cham, etc etc and bro out on how rad it is and how rad that athlete is, but when someone pushes the edge a bit closer to home, many of us (me included) armchair QB and cast that athlete as being x, y or z from our social media soap box.
Well I'm consistent in what I'm criticizing.
I can't watch Tof or that schirmer dude for those reasons.

Or those more amateur hardcore POV French guy who skied the Bietschhorn(??) Sw couloir thing. Horrible.

La Liste is a bit different because he's just fast, but the terrain ist not necessarily instant death or very avie risky. im not sure I'll want to see their Himalaya part 2 Film.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

I love his videos. He's seriously bad ass.

And he practices his jump turns at home, on a small ramp
I built the same in our back yard.

Doing it a few times a week.
    Hope it helps.

Maybe he's not allowed to enter Canada? This explains the series, but not why he specifically just chose the ones in the contiguous US

I’m sure that search would be very productive and NSFW

31/50 is the number of lines he has completed thus far, over the course of his first year (last season?) working on the project. Remaining 19 to be checked off this year/years to come. My understanding at least

Yeah he made some statements about 31 mid-winter last year and started referencing it in mid-March. I think he had a general plan of which ones he could knock off and/or connect together in road trips and end up getting to that point by seasons end.

I think I saw somewhere that it was 31 in the lower 48 because I'm assuming that required fewer logistical challenges. But that he ended up doing some of the Canadian lines to hit that 31 goal because there were a few that weren't in skiable condition

It was definitely the conversation you'd have within 5 minutes of starting up the second line, rather than awkwardly at the car after.

The guy is a ripping skier and clearly an athlete but do I need to be 20 years younger to not want to rip the tv off the wall watching him and friend slow bro, vocal frrrryyy speak on the couch?

What I noticed most (besides the gnarly climbing and skiing) is the use of the same music throughout the series. It's interesting that he uses the same music all the time, and there is one part where it sounds just like the theme to The Fifty. I dunno i find it interesting from a production point of view. I just tend to zoom in on soundtracks. Enjoying watching this series!

Yeah it doesn't seem like either of them are that comfortable having a conversation on camera, which, fair enough. With headphones I didn't love some of the audio suddenly being way louder than the res - the 5 seconds of brapping up the road and Victor's footage were the main offenders. Otherwise a fun watch. Was amused by the surprise casual rappel into the line.

The end was like watching a really bad first date.

Alternatively like two friends that get a liiiiiiiiiiittle too blazed and still sit there and try to have a normal coherent conversation.

99% of us would appear the same
on camera. While it’s not the reason I click to watch the video, it’s refreshing in some ways to see someone learning production from the ground up.

His commentary can be cringey but he's pretty badass and definitely appears genuine, which I can appreciate. I do wonder if any close calls will be shown in the upcoming episodes. Something dicey has to have happened in those first 31 lines...
