I came here for pics of everyone enjoying the fresh pow, and instead am just pissed off about Paradise.

Oh well. Here is a shot this morning from outside Leavenworth. Picked up another 12" or so last night after the big dump we had on Sunday. Things are looking good but I am sore from shoveling. I really need to get back out and do some skiing of the non-nordic variety this weekend. Might hit up opening day at Stevens Friday and go for a stroll in the afternoon if anyone is around.

Low tide pow riding pretty well. Sharks abound, but the face shot/coreshot ratio has been favorable.

Also I'm not sure if it's just too early, or rocks too numerous, but it felt like a weekday Crystal day of old: 8:45 arrival on a powder day to nab a mid-pack spot in B-lot? Pinch me.

Don't worry. All of us with the 5 or 7 day passes will ruin xtal on a powder day once it's mid season.

    Looks tasty!

Too many people snowed in would be my guess. I would've had to do a lot of shoveling and probably put chains on to get to the main roads this morning. Many schools closed too.

I kind of like it better there when the lifts don’t spin. Hopefully the neighbors are not far behind.

It's always the weird netherworld between this thread and the Inland NW thread but Loup Loup Ski Area is opening on Saturday. Surely with marginal grooming and plenty of stumps but I wonder when the last time they opened in the first week of December was.

Likely headed to the High 2 opener tomorrow with a few buddies. Hoping for a slight improvement over VailFail 21-22.

Looking forward to getting to know the Lot 4 crowd better when Ski Acres' taller neighbor starts spinning lifts.

They did but things were still a little sharky in places so so we decided to play it safe and leave that traverse for another day.

Not that there weren't tons of people taking it and dropping in at Hamburger. We might have played it too conservatively there but I do like my ptex right where it is.

Crystal was nice today, lifts were empty after 11am and I was skiing soft chop pow under Rex til close. Some in Utah might even call it Champagne. Reminded me why I love skiing so much.
