PNW 2022/2023 Season - It's Triple Dip La Niña Time!

The season is upon us. Got thigh deep powder and face shots around Artist Point on Sunday. Saw avalanche activity on the wind-loaded North aspects, which was to be expected, so we kept it low-angle and was still was able to get turns that rivaled my most memorable of last season's, all in the first week of November!

Good to start it up. 16 inches of snow in Winthrop so a new thread was much deserved!

PNW 2022/2023 Season - It's Triple Dip La Niña Time!

Nice! Roof box mounted last night and scored some 191 Billy Goats this summer so ready to go.

I can confirm that there are indeed turns to be had at pass level. Around 6" of solid snow with a nice light 12-17" on top. Bring on the snow!

Saw a lot of folks at Stevens yesterday and almost as many dogs. Skyline skied great! Didn't encounter a single shark.

Best first day of the season I have had skinning the golf course. Sun and some shin deep turns. Met this raven on the way up.

    Interesting tid bit:

Agreed. Doesn't even seem like they're trying. Lack of staff? Fear of the Thanksgiving washout? Seems a bit odd considering how psyched they've been to sell as many day passes as possible during the pandemic.

It’s early November, one good rainstorm and it’s gone. Looks like a solid week plus of high pressure so no chance to stack up yet.

    It would be nice though.
