KP park isn't scary at all. I used to put in for kayaking there all the time. The Green River killer did all his work further downstream.

I think the Middle fork road is going to be a way better drive after the shows personally.

Well, dang it all, sorry to have missed you d00ds.

I put in the Throne traverse at about 10:00, but it was murky until 2:00.

Cool thanks. Satellite scoped at least once pull off on Middle Fork Road. It's all national forest land along that road I think?

Correct. There's a bunch of pull outs. If you can drive it in the light before the concert, you will have an easier time finding something.

You'll enter national forest just after the bridge across the river, a bit after the parking lot for Mailbox Peak hike.

PNW 2022/2023 Season - It's Triple Dip La Niña Time!

So stupid this info isn’t posted on their website.

I wonder if the boundaries will be adjusted after the international chair is done, will Elevator gate zone be inbounds?

My speculation is that they are going to require people to be beeping before loading. That will keep the riff raff down a bit.

God I hope so. Schlussmans at bridger is such a rad lift.
I highly doubt this will be the case at Alp.

I've heard gates will remain the same. There may be a mandatory beeper policy for the gates.

If there's a beeper policy for the gates, there will have to be for this lift since the top terminal is beyond the current gates.

The new lift will be barely outside the current ropes.
Red line = approximate new lift
    Purple = approximate current ropeline
All they'd have to do is bump it out to yellow.
I'd guess Elevator gate will remain where it is, and there would be a new gate at the top of the new chair for when the "nash gate" terrain is open. It looks like the top terminal will be a little below the current "low traverse", based on having a large enough flat spot, but I could be wrong.
For anyone that's done vertfest, it's basically the top of lap 2. A quick easy scoot from there back to the current ropeline.

NW_SKIER showed me the MTB goods at Tokul today. Was gonna go camp at Middle Fork, realized thats pretty far the wrong way from Crystal where I am skiing tomorrow. Looks like good dispersed camping by Ranger Creek Airstrip. Supposedly accessible in the winter. How much snow is there at 2500' right now? This is like a foreign land to me. The elevation numbers mean nothing to be.

You should be fine at Ranger Creek.

You could also try the Snowpark at the bottom of Crystal mountain blvd which is plowed out frequently.

This time of year, I doubt anyone will care if you go camp at Upper C at Crystal itself. You can walk to the Snorting Elk for some ambience

Sneaking in at Crystal itself is a good idea, but I'd take Ranger over the bottom of the boulevard unless it's literally just a place to sleep. Pretty dark and gloomy at the bottom of the boulevard, whereas Ranger has lots of room to explore. And if you have your bike, ride Skookum Flats from there too.
