Cabo San Lucas Dental Implants?
Anyone done this?
My local dentist says it can be good if you find the right outfit, but not sure how to go about that. he didn't have a referral. It's WAY cheaper and I have no dental coverage.
Search didn't turn anything up, but I mightta missed it.

Considering how long the implant process takes, do you plan on changing your citizenship?

Sister-in-law goes to mexico on the regular for dental work, seems to work well for her. She's going again in another month or so and as far as I know she hasn't had any problems.

Thanks folks. I'm specifically interested in Cabo San Lucas (see thread title ) so was hoping someone might have experience there. It's definitely a thing there. No end to the knowledge indeed.
And yes, it is significantly cheaper than stateside, or so it would appear, especially if you're 100% out of pocket as I am.

Have several friends that have travelled to Mexico for "dental tourism" and they swear by it. They all went to Puerta Vallarta though

Everyone I know who went to Mexico for dental work raved about it. But I know that isn't all that helpful. Also, Korean food is fucking awesome.

Word from my San Diego peeps (both employees and friends) is they all head over the border when it's out of pocket or over the max for their insurance.

I can recommend a spot in Bali but no help if you insist on staying on this side of the Pacific.

Google reviews or equal would of course be a start. Also maybe research the Dental School and where they got their degree and how long have they been practicing (of course then find out if they will be doing the work or just one of their Dentists in the office..
Of course word of mouth from others that have had the experience and gone that way. The collective of the Dentists on this group maybe able to offer insights and of course maybe some stories of infection or poor work that they had to clean up, treat and even redo??

I think that the chance for complications and required return visits might be a deterrent. Especially for an implant.
