    2022-23 Aspen/Roaring Fork Valley Conditions

2022-23 Aspen+Elk Mountains+Roaring Fork Valley stoke, conditions, whatev thread

Skiing's been good this past week, hopefully a good tiding of the season to come. Post up the stoke!

I skied a quick lap up to the MGR. Still soft and nice snow for the first half down.

Me and toots rode the pass.

No way they reopen. Which is just fine by us.

They don't have the Staff to worry about the pass.

Quick 3" from that first band late last night/early this am. Hope another 2 or 3 of those pass through. I was hoping to skin tomorrow afternoon again.

Word on the street is that they’re shooting for Ajax on the 19th.

I'm so trying to figure out with my dog speak if this is are we done coming up here dad, or can we get on some fucking snow?
Either way, the question is yes answer yes. Amazing. So psyched for you both.

That would be about right to get t2b coverage. I don't know if they turned off the guns on nell this afternoon, but they got a good night and most of the day in at least.

Been wondering this too. Loc dogs playing with a bit of fire? Front range Gumby’s trying to get it? Or just someone in between.

Brush creek wasn’t too bad this morning but 82 was a pretty slick and sounds like town was terrible. A buddy got rear ended at the bottom of Gibson by the old art museum.

    Skiing some Highlands tomorrow hopefully!

Nope. I did get in laps at Highlands last couple of days but definitely not on fancy sticks like that this early in the season - bottom is still a bit marginal.
Sorry if I saw you and ignored you

Skied marble today and it was surprisingly good. Lots of snow up high and enough coverage to pick our way all the way back to the car without destroying skis

Yeah it wouldn’t have been on my radar this early but heard good things from a few people. Solidly deep turns up top and no signs of instability. Definitely did come across that bad layer on certain aspects on the way up

Highlands catpack was a great time today too. Fun to be able to open it up a little bit

Let’s try this. I don’t love all the vertical video.
No clue who the Random dude was making the wiggle turns, but I happened to have my phone out, so he made the edit
