Lift lines, ideally, are a bit of a different cut. One of the biggest hazards up there are blowdowns.

What's up with the upper valley smoke today? Seems very localized.

Yeah, no bueno. 115 AQI all of a sudden.
I took the boys up the pass and hiked to Weller; it was a little hazy and smelly, but man when we drove back down you could see the smoke layer just sitting in the valley

I couldn’t really see Sopris at lunch. Cleared out an hour or so later a little when I took this shot

I took one of the boys out for a Butterline lap last night. High point was encountering a sweatpant-clad genZ on a We Cycle, midway through the trail, distraught and lost, "trying to find her way way to Snowmass." I was nice and gave her directions to the actual bike path, but it was an incredible visual. Low point was a pile of broken glass, also found mid-trail, that look intentionally left.
Fall is banging right now

September’s been incredible!
Rain and snow traversed Snowmass early, for the last day of lift served.
Dirts going to be good!

A buddy of mine leased a townhouse in downtown Aspen from December through June; however, it fell through because he has a cat. Now he is looking to lease a home in Aspen for six months, commencing December. I thought that I would post here in case someone has any leads.

Nice, it's cool that that has been released. It was discussed and proposed by the new owners when the County approved the redevelopment of the property last summer: https://www.aspentimes.com/news/deal...ace-of-skiing/ I think the new owners a great people and will be good long-term stewards of the property.
The original plan would have been pretty incredible - tram access to 13,500' with huge, long alpine descents. Truly something akin to skiing off the trams in La Grave, Aiguille du Midi+Skyway, Zermatt, Saas Fee, etc.
The revised plan in the 70s, which was ambitious but short-lived also had amazing potential with lifts and runs on either side of Electric pass, descending down to Ashcroft, along with a lift along Express Creek below Ashcroft Mountain:
This is all mostly covered/abbreviated in the film, but there are good writeups on this history as well:

There will be about .1" at the top of the public road, 5" at the top of the next pitch up green cabin, 8" at Gwyn's, then a foot on the favorable aspects on high alpine. Too bad there isn't another storm queued up, it'd be go time for me personally. I'm sure there are guys hitting a rail in the boneyard at snowmass today.
