Hey, ignorance can be bliss, don't really wanna know much more about you and your special relationship with whomever TBH ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That would be best.
With your low reading comprehension skills, you should have just reserved your 'special' commentary.

That dude is super fun. I wouldn't call him a friend because I barely know him. However, I used to see him chilling at the ridge weather station or on the backside of boundary cliffs pretty frequently - he was always stoked and fun to chat with. Haven't seen him as much in recent years and honestly I miss seeing him around, he always had interesting stuff to talk about and made my days better.

Prism is a third party company, we lease their equipment. They host, post process, etc. Its a Sony A6000, unsure of the lens. It is pretty wide, they crop it in to the field of view they want. They make their own 3D printed enclosure, PCB for tethering, and software.
But hey I got it 90% of the way there! Thanks!
I'm working on setting up a script to post process the images from our non-prism cams before uploading to the site. It's a bit out of my experience range and I already have an overflowing plate. Hopefully I can get it figured out this year.

Solitude is now selling their parking passes for 23/24.
Interesting that they don't specify the details on how the reservation system will work though

They're paying $23.75 an hour for a stressful, sometimes dangerous job with shitty hours. For the record I could get anyone here a job at my company where you sit on your ass making phone calls during normal business hours with free lunch provided that pays substantially more.

Slinging fries at Alfs was the best ski bum job I ever had. UTA is going to have to pay a lot more if they want to top being able to get first chair on Supreme or Sugar without a beater in sight.

I can't justify buying one. Last year I went up with the family of four every Sunday for race team and turned down the free coupon since I'd already shelled out $300 or whatever. This year I am going to get that free parking coupon on Sundays and just pony up the $30 if I fly solo. I worry about the reservations nonsense if they don't let randos in until a certain hour. Would be nice to get some details on the reservation.
I demoed the TECH TALK JONG! pro model this spring and their performance was unparalleled which is good because I ski in a wedge most of the time - bendtheski, 2011

I'm also surprised they didn't raise the price of the parking passes, and skeptical of the reservation details not being announced at the same time..maybe the two are related? Too much blowback with higher parking prices and a shitty res system? Hope my cynical mind is wrong here and the reservations work out well.
Either way I ended up buying the midweek pass again, since I go up before work a good number of days. Looking to come out of lurking status on here and meet some of you this season! I usually go up from 8-10am during the week(sometimes stay longer if no meetings or a big powder day), and if anyone without a pass is looking for a ride hit me up.. I'm happy to drive if we meet close to the mouth of BCCLast edited by SkifishSLC; 09-28-2023 at 11:08 AM.

This gets me thinking about whether there is some way for maggots to get involved in a ride-share set-up. It would be helpful if we are able to come up with a mechanism that hooks up drivers and people without rides (other than the bus) to meet at the 7 for rides up BCC and LCC. Maybe we can do it initially by group PM and then either a Whats Up or message group chat. Is it feasible to start a list here and see whether there is interest? Personally, I usually ski M-Th with 2-3 days in BCC/LCC and I generally drive solo. I always have room for 1-3 in my vehicle.
Is it worth doing? Is is worth a separate thread? Who's interested?“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix

I swear that when I first clicked the link a few minutes after I got the email it said $499, but when I went back to it 15 minutes later on my computer it was down to $399.
Im down - I usually look for hitchhikers and swing by the bus stop on my way out of solitude anyway to see if anyone wants a more direct ride back to their car.

I'm used to picking up hitchhikers on the Alta bypass road, but those are usually people who just skied keyhole who either want to get back to Alta, or down to The Bird.
