What tires are you running on your van?

Finally replaced my old Sportsmoblle lost in the fire with a Fort Trnsit AWD. I am still on the factory Continentals and had good luck with them in the first Mammoth dumps this year.

Hope we get to run into each other again sometime...cheers.

No ikon this year. May be over to Shasta/Ashland at some point. You'll be stoked on the transit.

Thanks, I have been stoked on it so far. Now I just need to learn the inside info for #vanlife. Mostly. Where to park in and around ski towns.

I almost moved to Dillon in 2003 before I settled on Wenatchee. My ex wouldn’t go for it.

Faaak...I loved Maverick Mountain. I often look back and think about the guy manning the mid-station of the double chair. He looked exactly like Warren Buffet, and it made me wonder if some of these old-timers are secretly rich guys having a lark. I hope I am swinging chairs PT in retirement just for the social engagement.

Your story below reminded me of the first time I woke up in my RV in the parking lot of Great Divide. An older gentleman was shoveling the steps and I offered to help him as I was already clearing off and around my rig. He declined and suggested I hurry up so as not to miss first chair. I saw him in the bar at the end if the day and offered to buy him a beer. He laughed and revealed he was the owner (Kevin).

Over the next hour he asked for my story and I told him I was from back east but based out of Bozeman for the winter. He asked if I would deliver a sled he had sold to Bridger Bowl Mountain Ops and said I would. He handed me the keys to his truck and when I returned he comped me for a week of lift tickets. The world is a great place when you say yes more and no less.

When it's playing through ut00b, just copy the end of the string after the "v=" part and paste that between a "["youtube"]" and a {"[/youtube"]" tag pair without the quotes.

Reply with quote to this post and see the syntax.

It's been like that since I can remember.

Wow, it must be lonely skiing there without 10,000 of your closest friends like in Mammoth.

Love the rig camouflage. Very Batesian mimicry.

Skiing beaver in UT this past week. Soft pleasant pow skiing daily. I need some sun. Grey all day everyday for what seems like months.

Jamming to taos for a couple few weeks.

I don't get the hurrying to Taos. They are starting to get some stuff open. If you have touring gear I would not drive by Wolf Creek. Also if any of those two shots happen in the next 10 days might be worth paying full price for a ticket.

I've been skiing 2-4 feet of new snow every week since Thanksgiving. I've seen the sun for 2 hrs in the last 6 weeks. I paid a grand for a Taos pass.

It's a completely different mindset when you ski full time for 4 plus months.

It's nuking rain in beaver UT now. Eagle point tomorrow am will be yet another pow day.
