[emoji106] Losing a ski and having to get out in deep snow can be a nightmare scenario.

    .

Trouble in the bc can be frightening.
Saw the transition from postholeing to snow shoe on the up.
We were wondering what went on.
    Glad everything got resolved.

Its been quite a while since I have ventured over the hill from our Swan Valley digs ( way to many touring options between here and there) but damn if I could hit that untouched like that (it’s been years, if not decades).

Notice the pitter patter up the line. It's buffed and smooth with a light covering. Firm though. They better be hoping for some precip incoming. Also both big rocks are still quite, available, let's say.
You could scope it, ski right up and rip it. What's the worst that could happen? Lose a daily? Trespassing ticket?
A little show of remorse and yer down the road scot free.

The clamps are burly but not all metal. Just as well, I don't break shit like that with any regularity, luckily.
But I did just turn them up. That Solly clack...

Danno - I'm just around the corner from ya, let's connect for some turns or a beer, etc.
Pm me some digits if ya wanna rip around tomorrow.

Shoot, I think I skied right past her (and even waived). I assumed she was digging a pit to check bonding of recent precip.

Nice day skiing, cool incoming weather and still chalky lovins.

Ran into Thommy21 and crew so took laps maching around the upper mtn.
Got close to Danno but not quite connected.
I can show yas around rock springs if ya haven't already been out.

I should take tomorrow off, we'll see. Skiings been hard to turn down lately. The new skis are really a thrill.

Kings and Queens is on tomorrow at 10 am.

It'll be a foot of medium density over smooth firm chalk, today's inbounds condish.

Today was nice but the classic Jackson Foot on firm. The Angry foot we deemed it. One could mos def feel that bottom layer but pretty smooth and big loading in certain areas.
A poach thru the Ship's prow was deep to traverse to, slidey prone and then scoured thru the crux.
Putting a hammer turn on the apron delivered a huge white room coupla turns. My OG bro said it was a 15' explosion of snow. Then back to the angry foot...

Met up with the Schindlerpistes for a few nice runs and a swing by the hut. Good turns today youse guys.

Lack of bottom today was pretty shocking. I set out on the tour not expecting much other than breaking trail through 10". Felt good to break trail today, which is rare.

Was back at the village today.
Definitely deeper than 10” in a lot of places.
Feeling bottom but surfing right through it.

Large groups of rowdy skiers bombing around.
Must be getting ready for Kings and Queens tomorrow.

More shenanigans going on at the Jersey Shore.
Don’t have any details but gate #2 was closed around
    12:30 I think it was.
