It was dumping a nuclear download this morning.
    Damn I love storm skiing.

The whole mountain is skiing well. Stronger legs are becoming a requirement as more big terrain opens.
Snow's been fresh almost every morning, visibility is a challenge but i got some new goggles so that's been interesting.

    Turnin and burnin.

Ya good times in the Tetons eh?

Nuking wind was making some touchy but small wind slabs above 8500'. Could step down to the 11/27 facets once there's enough slab. Or not, haha.

I think it's in, saw the orange box from the parking lot the other day. I handed it off to the Teton Backcountry Alliance; I'll pop a note to Gary to clarify and get back to you.

    Yup it's in. Enjoy!

Friendly PSA to not get fucked up skiing, or otherwise, right now. Local hospitals are mostly on divert again due to influenza/rsv/rona. Closest ICU bed the other day was Spokane 😬

Today on the West side wasn’t too bad. Skied South facing stuff around 8800. Some crust but the sheltered areas had some creamy snow, coverage is pretty damn good for early Dec. Did get some collapsing later in the day. The wind was nuking out of the south, some slabs setting up, lots of transport onto north facing slopes, something to keep in mind.

Heard the same words as I was headed out for a Pass lap last week from a flight nurse friend. She basically said don’t break anything the JH hospital can’t easily fix.

Sitting in a Vegas hotel. Wish I was skiing. Hope you all have a fun wknd out there!

    Happy skier!

If a person was not happy with what was skied yesterday, I have no idea what to say!

Yeah, I don't get the "not too bad on the west side" up above. Fucking stellar on the West side would be my take.

Think I saw your car this morning. We skied the park and the snow quality wasn’t quite as good as yesterday on the pass. That being said, it was fucking stellar!

Hopefully we can get out soon.

Ya ping Panchosdad as I am working the 18 to 23rd.

So very good today on the west side. Incredibly deep for Dec 11, even in the trees. Some fresh and somewhat touchy but specific windslab above 8800'.

Yesterday the village skied great as snow came in wet and everything was silky smooth. Today even better with 3 inches of butter on top and no too crunchy underneath. Deeper in spots. Have been showing my cousin around this weekend, has been really fun to see his wonderment as we check off the resort runs. Pepi's, cirque skied well today.

This is a pretty amazing compliment. Thank you! If my images can get people excited about days-to-come or conjure up a feeling of a similar moment one had in the past, that's a real achievement.
