Topo and summit open tomorrow? Before the gondola? Well depending on what trails open and how fucked i want my bases to be i might just partake.
Snow just might be frozen solid or maybe the inversion kept them soft.

I was at Ssv wed, LL thus (TOTW mostly open and outer limits on summit) and quay today (big chair opening, earliest in history).
Remarkably good conditions for so early

Snow reports actually accurate. Sure felt like ~50cm base because the snow hasn't packed down at all and you hit rocks below that.
Temps creeping towards positive, hopefully not in the alpine. And we were so good for not snowing before it stayed cold.. This high pressure needs to end quickly before the snowpack goes front-range on us.Last edited by SnakeMagnet; 11-11-2022 at 08:37 PM.

Spent the past week around Highwood and with shelter, the right elevation, and the right side of the highway, there are very nice early season turns to be had. Another storm or two are needed before you can start to really open it up.

Another great day at the Quay!!
I was the only person on the big chair all morning shredding virgin laps on Memorial bowl!!
The bouncers dropped the ropes and I was entertained with free lap dances till my stamina diminished…lol

Funny thing, I’m heading to the Banff area over Christmas and the one thing that keeps popping in my head as far as resort skiing is concerned? Power laps on the North American. Love that thing.

Thin but adequate and stable at elevation this last week in the Purcell’s. Was able to summit a few peaks and ski some steeper slopes….great views aplenty!
Send snow! Lower elevation alders are a b-tch
