Last year they were $200 at the window, but readily available for a tiny fraction in advance online. I think it's a way to not staff a ticket office.

it’s also a way to limit numbers and get the public ready for if and when they go private

Damn, you'd think they'd be making at least somewhat of a play for the "want to ski but don't have a season pass" market. Ugh, what a loss. Here's what it looked like last December, on the kind of day when I knew they'd have the goods (and I wasn't paying three figures):

Yup. The 3-pack just gives you a way to get their high season advance purchase rate with the flexibility of using days last minute. It's a pretty thin advantage.

If they do end up charging $278 at the window that will be over 10X what I paid last time I went there when there were actual lines at the ticket windows and lifts.
"Holy Cow!" someone exclaimed from the back of the stationwagon.

    Hey Tahoe Mags,

One of the reasons why this place is so awesome is all the non-profits that make this place a community instead of just an Epically Ikonic soulless company town.

The Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation’s annual Give Back Tahoe Challenge showcases a ton of these groups and today is a great day to give them your support.

It's the people that make the non-profits and they are Tahomies! Hope y'all found a good cause and took advantage of all the matching that happened yesterday. The cause is always ready for more funding 365.

This storm looks for real. Even an avalanche warning!

Skinned out to Winnimucca yesterday to skate, boy the snow is generally pretty rotten and sugary, probably going to be sketchy conditions in the BC after the new snow arrives.

Anyone else not liking the new NVroads update? Easier to use before.
Now takes longer to load and has a messy, illegible look to it. Boo.

Totally hate it. The old one also remembered your position and zoom. You could pull it up and be right where you were in the previous session. Now you have to adjust settings and display area every time 🤬

And the avalanche warning was actually a watch, but has since been upgraded to a warning. Thank you for your understanding.

I don't understand the angst. This is how they've handled lifts for yeas. The evening before they schedule the lifts they plan to run conditions permitting. On the day of lifts may go on wind hold, patrol hold, mechanical hold, whatever hold--those lifts could still theoretically run, until they get taken off the schedule because there is no hope of running them. I know you guys know this and I don't see how anyone could be surprised that not much is open--just Treeline Cirque.
What I still find funny is that tOV has a couple of kiddy lifts open when it's too nasty for the grownups and maggots to ski.
