the girl from Ace having bloody marys before work was…..interesting…..

she was mortified when I called her on it later at the store

Why did you call her on it, you Karen? You Narc. It's not like she's driving a bus or watching kids or something. Plenty of people have problems with booze around here but sometimes you just gotta get through another shitty day at the soul crusher. Maybe you could have connected over why jobs suck or if she likes wasabi in her bloody.

A tasty bloody with a great DLK breky before work is not a red flag for a hdw store worker..

2 or 4 of them, yes....

I was the kitchen the other day and they were unpacking cartons full of Soju, which is what they make their Bloody Mary's with. I guess they sell a lot of them. But not as many as mimosas. 23% ABV so a Soju Bloody Mary is probably OK for work, as long as you don't work over a vat of molten iron.
From what I can gather, Mountain Hardware isn't a bad place to work.

TAHOE 22/23 -THE YEAR OF THE (t)RAM

sorry, but I’m just gonna say it’s not too cool to be drinking bloody marys (plural) with breakfast, then driving to work along the lake and past the high school and into town

    I guess it’s just me

keep in mind it would take two of those to equal the strength of a bloody mary made with real vodka. if they're keeping it within limits it doesn't matter to me what time it is. a bigger crime is drinking bloodies in the evening.

Well this thread is certainly off to a lame start. A bloody mary before work... big deal. She's working at Ace not going into surgery.

Agree this place needs some stoke, so here is some old stoke from last weekend. No sharks and no snowmobiles encountered.

Skied Heavenly today. Surprisingly quiet driving thru South Lake at 9 AM. Upper mountain (off Canyon) was better than expected, good coverage for what was open and not that busy before 11. Ungroomed runs w/ out snowmaking were chalky powder but definitely had to be on the lookout for sharks.

2 min wait to pick up my season pass. Was almost worth it just for that and to pick up the sno-park permit. Meiss Meadows tour tomorrow.

Northstar is sorta fun today. It’s free skiing the green groomers with my lady.

Staying at the Whitney Peak Hotel tonight. Where is good for dinner in Reno these days?

Pho 777 probably has the best pho in Reno, which has surprisingly good Vietnamese food. Plus I think that's pretty close to your hotel. It's quick and sort of divey.

Thali on West St. has some tasty vegetarian/vegan Indian food. No real menu, just a full Thali dinner.
The Pizza Collective is also in the same building and they have some great pizzas.
They are in easy walking distance from your hotel.

Kwoks Bistro has some of the best upscale Chinese in town (and Pliny the Elder). Call ahead as it's small...

Try the 1/4 duck with extra lotus buns.

No grooming. Coverage is good tho. We've been having very cold nights and warm sunny days. So I think there will be a nice sun crust with soft faceted snow under.

Good for classic meadow skipping. Skate is going to take a little longer...
