I have no idea why I get a full IKON and a midweek Sugar Bowl. Next year I'm doing the opposite. Old 40 this morning was a piece of cake on the way to Royal Gorge. The SB+RG is a good deal.

Yup. Had quite a few customers complain about this today, and they had jst extracated themselves from the jam at 11:30, so it went on for a bit.. It's just Palisades stepping up their game a bit.

What started as rain is now wet cement at the lake.
About 2-3" so far and falling fast.
    Winds are high.
Snow will be heavy at lower elevations and wind affected/wind loaded at high elevations.

Gimpy thanks for the stoke. Great shots. All snow on the summit, starting about 4:00 p.m. ~10 inches in the driveway this a.m. Main headline - really windy.

Anyone know why the Dark Star concert was postponed tonight?

TAHOE 22/23 -THE YEAR OF THE (t)RAM

    probably weather and travel chaos

it takes a lot to get a band loaded out, over the hill, and loaded in

they probably don’t want to risk it so they pulled the plug early rather than go through a ton of work and then not make it

gonna be tough enough making it to SLC as it is

It started snowing early this morning here south of Carson and is currently dumping. We have around 2" of new so far.

Everyone decided the best place to put their chains on was in the middle of dollar hill with their car sideways.

Evan…..did you guys lose some base down there to the rain before it turned white?

Dark star did the same thing some years back but that one was legit with all roads to Tahoe fuckered up. Show is postponed and not cancelled so hopefully it’s sooner then later…..unless they can sneak it in on Monday I’ll bet it will be pushed to April when they come back west for skull n roses in Ventura

It def rained for a long time yesterday evening, and harder than I expected. I'd say it didn't destroy the base, but it's super saturated below the new 4" or so that we ended up with.

I survived one chair ride at Rose this morning, and bailed. Felt like frostbite starting on my face - it was balaclava time, and I didn't have one. Also totally blind skiing.

The storm quit for a while last night and then kicked up again in the morning. Total whiteout at high elevations. There were times when I could only see one chair ahead.
Somehow had one of my best resort days of the year: caught a rope drop and got several excellent laps.
Called it just after noon when the lines started to really stack up.

Definitely a great day at Sierra, refills all day, light crowds, did a couple laps in Huckleberry, deep! Still getting great turns at 2:30 when my legs finally had enough

Great shots gimpy, not the east side of Tahoe but there was still great coverage down to 5800 yesterday, not that far away

4:30 and currently nuking at my house

It's was deeper than expected out there today. Snow just kept getting lighter and it really added up in the second half of the day.
    Then the fwy closed.

If “all-time” can apply at Diamond Peak, then today was that. Like the tree skiing movies I see from Japan.
