Visited Italy last month, went to the Pantheon. It has the oldest non reinforced concrete dome in the world and it’s over 2000 years old. Apparently the Roman’s figured out a way to make self sealing concrete and today we can’t even pave a freeway to last one winter.

To be fair - they don't ever deal with freeze/thaw at the Pantheon.

Forgive me if I posted this before but a lot of the massive pothole damage around the area was due to improper binding between the newest layer of asphalt and the previous layer, according to an asphalt guy I know. I never saw a pothole this year that went deeper than the top layer.

Alright people...a new thread for the 23/24 season has been started. It's not done yet, but it is there. If you don't like the title, well boo hoo. Nobody else was doing it. It was time, beyond time really.
