WTB: Skis/boots/bindings etc... for 2-3year old toddler
Looking for toddler ski gear. My little dude/future ripper just turned 2 in June so Im looking to get him on skis for the first time this winter. If you have some toddler skis/boots/bindings that are decent I'd be interested in chatting.
Do they still teach skiing using leashes and whatnot? If that's a thing and I need a toddler harness and leash I'd love to buy that off ya as well. Or maybe even snowsuit/goggles, or whatever the heck else a toddler needs to ski.
I presume they don't get poles for quite some time?
He’s in size 2T clothes right now and wears size 8 toddler shoes but might be a touch bigger by ski season.
I dont know anything about toddlers skiing, so any advice is also appreciated LOL. Im in Pittsburgh, he will be learning at Seven Springs this season

Check the keep kids skiing pinned thread, and I believe there was a good teaching kids to ski thread in tech talk a ways back.
Big thing for first year, esp. For a kid a so young, is to not expect much and keep it fun at all costs. I personally like the ‘skiing between adults’ legs in wedge’ method, but you’ll find others who like leashes or other approaches. Definitely try a few different things to see what your little guy likes

Unfortunately don't have any gear to contribute here since I've got an 11 month old that will be growing into the older kid's old stuff.
Regarding teaching, leashes, etc, I had good success with my older kid using an Edgy Wedgie and a Kinderlift vest. Skiing between the legs worked well for her, and the kinderlift just kinda makes it easy to pick her up off the ground, get on the lift, etc. We had her on real skis when she was 2, easy greens with the edgy wedgie at 3, and starting to ski without the edgy wedgie just before her 4th birthday. Fill your pockets with snacks, expect some tantrums, and don't let them know how secretly proud you are when they say they want to go fast and jump off things.

Yup, I forgot about that. We used a harness on my son (4 this year; last yr was first season) without the leashes so I had a handle to pick him up

Big fan of the edgie-wedgie. We also used a leash system that hooked to their boots do you can steer them, but they still get a good feel for balance rather than a harness that pulls them into the backseat.
