When Mt. Lemmon gives you lemons, you got to make powder out of it!

I got to tour with my friends 14 and 15 year old sons today out in the side country then took my daughter and a group of their friend for another lap later in the day. It was super fun to share that experience with the yoots.

We can't call her baby anymore. She's 15 and gets pissed at me if I treat her like my baby now *tear rolls off cheek.

I unfortunately didn't get any pics of her today. We were just skiing and damn, she was skiing pow way too fast for me to get the phone out! She made me proud looking smooth at some speed!

Great pics! Is the backcountry still empty? When I left flagstaff in 04 I felt like I was the only one touring.

Theres a little more traffic these days but it never feels busy or stressful to ski something because there's a "race" for it. Most folks here aren't comfortable or experienced enough to ski the bigger lines the day after a storm and stick to the 48 hour rule.

I did some touring in early '94 when I briefly lived in Flag - I'd heard *rumors* of people skiing the east side of the SF's but never saw any evidence of it. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

Good to hear. I skied alone quite a bit, and back then, the ski patrol (worked there briefly) were kinda shocked to see me on touring gear at the hill. I seriously never saw another skin track other than my own.

I loved the single track bobsled exit too!

Thanks man, it was really that good! That's actually a screen grab from a short vid clip. It's on the IG account if ya want to see it in live action.

It looks like another 12-16 tonight and tomorrow but with some shit winds. Hopefully Tuesday is a wind buffed wonderland up there, I'm back to work on Wednesday and I've got a lot going on in that department so I'm actually hoping for the pattern shift to happen. I prefer it to be warmer and sunny when I'm out in the field. I hope the East gets some and we get dry for a few weeks. that sounds crazy to most on here I bet but I get just as, or even more excited about bad ass trail projects to skiing deep snow.
