My Pro Ski Bum Tour of North America 22/23
I figured because it was fancy there would be hostility to it. I expect hostility to itinerant ski bums like myself.
The opposite of fancy is Black Mountain New Hampshire …

I really liked that vid Charles. The Head Ski Patroller for BM seems like a super solid dude with a good sense of humor! He was a great personality to focus on imho.

Shortly, CharlesJ will enter the Cradle of the trgz, the Hole.
We have him and will try and revive him into the pro ski bum that he is.
With any luck, he won't hit any more deer.
He's got an off street place to park and a futon in the waxroom to stretch out on. Nothin fancy but a sound roof under a snowy night beneath the Tetons.
Skiing will not suck tomorrow, unless you have cracked ribs.
That will suck.
Been snowing about an inch an hour since closing.

Watch out for the waxroom futon.
It has a gravitational force field.

Watch out for the waxroom smoking devices. Also have gravitational force fields.

Thanks to Djongo I had a kickass time in Jackson. Enjoyed Snow King yesterday and JH today. Have been meaning to ski there for about half a century. Better later than never. I’ll be back there for sure. This easterner getting the hang of the soft stuff (finally) thanks to Skifishbum and Djongo. Might be ready to shift over to the injury forum. Worst crash of the season was a parking lot fall at Beaver Mountain Wednesday. Right now it feels like a season ender. Supposed to be at Taos in a week, parked in Ogden for the night. Was contemplating some places to ski between SLC and Taos but injuries may prevent that. Rib/back situation kind of bad. Laughing, sneezing, coughing, breathing hard, twisting, turning etc all hurt a lot.

^ sorry to hear about your injury. Heal as quickly as us old folk can.
I ended my season yesterday with a fall on the deck at Magic...dislocated shoulder.

Takes true talent to beat one's own ass in the parking lot. Not as much talent to end up hanging upside down multiple feet of the deck by one ski in a tree, Charles.
Charles at the bird = radness.

Get well MNIAW!
Hanging upside down from the tree will have to be in graphic novel/storyboard form as I ran out of battery and the spares were in the car (it’s a Blunderful life). Going to make dinner for Mr and Ms SFB this evening. Will still mosey to NM whether I can continue skiing or not

There are drugs to make this vision quest continue. Use them to complete the season for us Star Wars fans. Please. You can heal later.
Is it radix panax notoginseng? - splat

Slight change of plans. I’ll make monkey maki or gumbo for SFB et al when I get back to SLC. On the way to Grand Junction now then Taos on Friday for four days of NM skiing. Took a few runs at Solitude this morning, my first since turning 63. Getting dressed and buckling boots hurts. Would love some of those Star Wars drugs, I assume they’re better than acetaminophen

If you want to ski Wolf Creek you are welcome here. Can park in dwy or take a bedroom. I have extras. Food is usually pretty good here. Be happy to show you around. Wolf Creek best mom and pop ski area in America.

Not going to slum it at the Peruvian. You mean the Rustler. Like to try for some eastside action with you, if I'm not too slow. Of course, you can bunk up at our place as much or long as you need as you transit to the Last Front Tire. And, of course you have a Shasta in you, just need to tap into your inner Lemurian. But, access to Brewers Creek probably will not happen until sometime in July, if even then.

Powderhorn Wednesday, Telluride Thursday, Taos Saturday, Ski Santa Fe Sunday, Taos Monday. I wish I could meet, ski and crash with all the mags who have made such kind offers. Will be taking a hiatus from the mild adventure for a bit. Hope to resume where the snow lasts the longest later
