94s arrived today. Can't say I'm a fan of the topsheet. No idea what Elan was going for with the mocha coloring here.

Not sure how to fix the sideways images. The asymmetrical sidecut is very noticeable, here is the inside profile:

I measured 15mm of camber on the inside edges, but 12mm on the outside edges. Outside profile:

At the tip, the outside contact point is about 7cm closer to the boot than the inside contact point. I'm very interested to see how these ski. This pair weighed in at 1545 and 1528 grams each. I've got some Raider Evo 13s on the way, hoping they're a good match. This pair of 178s measured 175.2cm straight pull tip-to-tail, and the "MP" line is 94.5cm from the tip. Someone else can do the math since I usually just mount on the line and go.

Wow. Figured those would be lighter as the 104 is advertised at that weight. That’s probably not a bad thing as they’ll probably ski better than if they were 200grams lighter. Very curious to hear more reviews of this ski. Seems like a sweet volcano ski.

Just got mine in 185 and they're 1511 and 1538g. Not sure why they are lighter than the 175 above, maybe one of us has a bum scale.

I was looking for something in the mtn95 weight class, will def be interesting to see how these ski.

the photos in reviews definitely make it seem like the color scheme is more greyish green than the mocha color

I ordered some of the 104s - I'm a sucker for bright colors. Imma look like a clown out there which will match my skiing steeze.

My photos have some yellowish tinge from the lighting. Here's a picture under a white work light:

It's definitely more brown than the WS photo. I wish they had gone with a variant of the 104 topsheet, I like it a lot more, plus lighter colors keep snow from sticking.

Yeah, and I measured mine using a cheap digital kitchen scale. The numbers could be off.

yeah I found the darker green/grey color acceptable but that brown color in real life is unappealing for someone as superficial as me

the overabundance of dark colored touring skis on the marker this season is confounding - they don't have to all be clown shoes like the 104s but it seemed like, other than the Black Crowes freebirds, everything else was overwhelmingly dark

Theyre not the most striking, but i dont my the brown grey. Clearly the color is polarizing though. I would pay +100 for a "touring" edition of any touring ski where the topsheets are white...

Anyways, split on mounting the rtour 94s with fr14s or haute route 10s, anyone have a compelling argument in either direction?

Me too. I’d narrowed my options down to Zero G 105 (dark dark blue), UBAC 102 (dark blue), Enforcer unlimited (dark colors), or the Ripstick 104 tour - which despite the creamsicle colors still has plenty of black top sheet to hold snow on…shrug.

kc - just curious if you’ve been out on your ripsticks yet and where you ended up mounting them
