It seems that he had financially about the same net loss as the drug addict that robbed his house and the online crypto scammer girlfriends that proceeded her.

Friend still hasnt been out skiing yet, but at least right now he's talking about wanting to take a trip to Colorado with us.

It is part narcissism, as you mentioned, but it is also genuinely wanting to have sex with a woman that is really hot.

Most men that I know are simply more turned on by a woman that is really hot than by one that is ordinary. For a serious relationship there has to be far more than just looks, but looks are an important part. In the case of a sugar daddy situation, well a guy might as well get the enjoyment of having sex with a girl that is smoking hot if he is going to bother with that situation in the first place.

I do think it is a bit about a shiny object, like a watch or a car, but I do think sex with a gorgeous woman that the guy is actually really physically attracted to plays a big part.

My explorations since becoming single pretty late in life have made it abundantly clear that sex of any flavor - across the spectrum from hookups to relationships - is just not that fun lacking genuine attraction and desire (for me and not my $) from my partner which it seems, is pretty difficult given the transactional nature of SB arrangements.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but handing over an allowance in order to have arm candy and get laid would make it pretty tough for me to believe there was actual desire no matter how well they might fake it. And at the end of the day (again, there are probably exceptions) if the allowance stops so does the companionship.

No thanks. I'd rather go without than have any possibility of any fakery. Which has happened! lol. I could see being a SB myself (which would indicate genuine attraction and desire in the willingness to pay for my company), but sadly no one has stepped up to the plate. FML.
