Was just in a Specialized dealer this morning picking up my new Norco Search XR flat bar gravel bike. If you want a Diverge gravel bike (flat bar or drop bar), you're looking at 18-24 months to get one.

Pretty good all-arounder, running it middle headset, low chainstay setting, and has been quite good for most of the riding in Western WA

There are a few stores in SLC that have the s4 in stock. Anyone know if specialized stores match the online sales prices?

Edit: Looks like some do

Online sizing advice from specialized.com tool is s5 for me which seems huge. I’m 5’10”

Im 5'6"-5'7" depending on the day, I am on an S3.

I think the reach on that one is about 440 ish, which is pretty good for me.

I think they caught up, but the demand is gone. Just a guess. The covid bike heyday couldn’t last forever.

Well those bikes are all spec'd with SRAM components, which have actually had pretty good availability all season, coupled with lower demand than the last two summers. Shimano on the other hand.... my shop is still waiting on many bikes since Rocky Mtn only specs shimano.

I run the high bb setting and middle headset setting. Feels great with minimal pedal strikes here in Tahoe. I don’t feel the need to drop the bb anymore or go any slacker. Nice, steady peddler with minimal bob but isn’t going to break any records on the climbs.

S3 size, 170 fork, middle headset, CC link, low BB height, pedal strikes are no worse than when it was stock 160 fork, middle headset and high BB.

Found an s4 here in SLC and pulled the trigger. Super pumped as I’ve been looking for a longer travel bike. Currently on a 2017 transition smuggler. Unfortunately I can’t ride it as I had rotator cuff surgery in May and don’t get clearance until first week of November. It’s like buying skis in early June, which is prime buying time for me.

OEM has had Shimano for a long time. Just no retail stock.
