Shit. What a human. Vibes to her circle and of course to Jim.

That Lhotse ski was a brilliant feat, icing on the cake of a lifetime of huge accomplishments.

So sad. I’ve been thinking about her on some walks lately for some reason. Rumor is a famous documentary filmmaker we all know was already making a movie about the couple so that will be rough to watch if it gets finished

    Fare thee well Hilaree.

I had the good fortune of touring around New England with her and Kasha about 20 years ago when I was working for TNF and they were doing a slide show tour at a bunch of shops. Super fun to hang out with and both just great humans.

    RIP

Glad Jim and search party were able to find her. Hope she went quick, painless and did not suffer. Thoughts and prayers to Jim, her two children, Brian, family, friends and all those that admired her. Gone to soon. HUGE loss

Legend, in so many ways. Condolences to family, friends and the town.
Lots of amazing things come to mind just from following her from afar. One was the opening of a Rocky Mountain PBS doc with her climbing and skiing the Snake on Sneffels right in her backyard - inspiration and great beta.
She will be so missed by so many - close and far. Legend.

RIP Hilaree. You are legend, not just in the PNW where your roots were but globally with many admirers. Gone too soon, as many are. Condolences to your family, your boys, and those who knew you as a friend. May you soar with Coombs and the others.

Fuck. Just unimaginable for Jim and the rest of their family.

I've been a HIlaree fan since Warren Miller's Storm way back in the day. That South Georgia Island segment absolutely blew my mind as to what is possible on skis and the type of adventures that skiing could open up.

My thoughts are with Jim and everyone else who knew HIlaree. She was truly a legend. I'm so sad that she's gone.
