Depends on what you are doing in the water. My ideal temperature for open water swimming is around 72, but I admit that's too cold unless you are cranking.

A wise friend more than once told me.....

If it was up your ass you'd know where it was.

Hot tip for the next time your wife asks you where something is. Trust me it'll get you relations.

I was shuttling a senior partner of a Seattle law firm, I don't see his fishing floaty so i ask where is it ?

he sez he got here early and has already dropped it off at the put in

I point out we are going up which is why I'm here right ? he grins sheepishly

so just to fuck with the millionaire/ tourist i offer this kinda thing often happens when the people being shuttled have too much education

i don't think i got a tip on that shuttle but it was funny

    Pro Tips and Hot Takes

The attorney dropped his float at the take out, thinking it was the put in.

I’m glad you maggots are so confident in the decision making abilities of your youth. It’s a wonder we have any stories to tell at all around these parts.

He dropped his float, which he floats in and fishes out of, at the take out. So he is up the creek without a boat.

don't ask random strangers on the internet how to move to a ski town where to work where to live
don't bitch about short term rentals how much it costs and how there is no where to live
don't show up in october expecting to find everything easy with everyone greeting you with open arms and ready to clue you into all the deals the best friends and a ski in ski out right next to downtown pad

put your big boy and girl pants on and suck it up
    go with the flow
be ready to find the lowest point in your life be ready to find the greatest highs
nothing will be easy but don't contantly bitch about it
take the little bits your given don't get greedy
show up and give and you will get back
if it's what you really want don't beg for it work for it it'll take a long time to find your place

The local lakes are getting down into the mid 60s here now. This is about the time I bow out and return to the pool full-time.

From my wildfire days: Listen to the crew boss, but do what the squad leaders tell you to do.

That works in most similar employment situations. Listen to (the big boss), but do what (your immediate leader) tells you to do.

no biggy but I thot that was funny and perhaps the product of an over thinking mind ?

I'm sure his junior partners would laugh and nod the nod

Feel old by skiing with younger people.

Also gives you an excuse for why you were last back to the chair.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...
