I hope there will be a EuroBBI2024. Because I am already plotting how to make it happen.

I can confirm that there will most definitely be a 23/24 EuroBBI.

Tentative dates for the shindig in Rueras at the Mountain Lodge are 3/9 - 3/16. Those dates may get massaged by a day but are close to being right on.

Come for a week, or however long you can manage. Stay longer if it works for yas.

A few of us will be hitting a couple other destinations for a few days prior to the BBI, and then for a few days after.
    Consider.

Vendul, our Mag in Suisseland and owner/Host of the Mtn. Lodge likely had a rough go of it last season so I'm hoping we can bring a big contingent of Mags this time.
The Lodge is super cool and we will likely take over the whole place.

    It's fucking awesome.

So get to penciling in some dates and stashing some Francs or Euros.

GaryfromTerrace, Tri-Ungulate and Carvehard for the win last season, way to get after you sick dogs.

I found some great rates to Zurich from SLC and booked flights from 3/6-3/14. I’m planning on spending a few days in Klosters before heading over up Rueras. I’ll start praying for snow in a few months.

Dates are penciled in, awaiting further instructions.

Every time I search for flights (Denver to Geneva or Zurich) it looks to be $1200 at minimum. Am I missing something, doing it wrong, or does that seem normal?

Guys, I just talked to Michele. The week of March 10-16 is fully booked up by an over-pre-organized Swiss group!
But he all clear for us before or after... March 1-10 or from March 16 on.

I’m seeing $640 on Delta, DEN to ZRH, 1 stop at JFK? Play around with Google Flights.

That seems high. I did a quick google search for the 5th-15th and there are flights as low as $650. For my flight I upgraded to Comfort+ and was just a bit under $900. When you search try to avoid Friday-Monday flight days.

Avoiding Friday-Monday (ie the weekends) is hard for me to do as I am a week on week off parent. And one thing I noticed on kayak is that the price goes up significantly when I put in 1 checked bag and 1 carry on bag (which obv are necessary). Am I missing something there? Are all the airlines pricing out transatlantic trips without any baggage at all, and charge significantly more for bags?

Anyway, I ain't buying anything, just window shopping until details are set. And the flight cost won't keep me from making it in any event.

Edit: I guess I haven't been on kayak in a while, looks like they were hiding the cheaper flights way down the list (more than usual) and pushing me to much more expensive choices.

New dates appear to be arrival in Rueras on March 1 and staying for a week or at least until the 10th.

Get the wheels moving sooner than later. I suspect winter sports needy Europeans will be out in full force after last season's dismal run over thar.

As always, I'm late... great to hear that things are shaping up. My suggestion would be the week of the 3.3 until 3.10.
If summer gives us an idea of how winter will be and ... as we had an extreme summer... we'll have an extreme winter

I talked with Michele again today about the new plan coming earlier in March. He thinks it's a good time to come.

I'm planning to hit Rueras from March 1-10. Since weekends are more crowded, he also says March 3-10 is ideal for people just coming one week.
