the queen made 23 visits to canada, it was the place she visited the most
people are calling that time is ripe to abolish the monarchy up here on the other side of the poutine curtain BUT its not that easy
A journalist type pointed out that it would require negotiating 70+ treaties with provinces territories and the FN
it would be like meech lake on acid so it likely won't happen ehLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

That is one bitching hearse. I could see our canoe strapped to the roof and all and extra camping gear stuffed in the back. No problem sleeping in that sucker as well. RIP Lizbet.
Mother took us to a horse track on the edge of Toronto back in 1959 to see her. Wearing our finest and hoping to get some good snacks we watched from a goodly distance as her eminence paraded by.
Good luck to Chuckles following in the footsteps of that old girl.

If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for problems caused by the government I'd be a rich fat film maker in a baseball hat.

I think phil is gona be our meaninless head of state cuz its just too big a can of worms to negotiate all them treaties,
the figure i heard including FN, the provinces and territories was 70 treaties ... not gona happen !Lee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Ya, we are too large and too diverse to go back to square one. It would be easier to dissolve the UK and abolish the monarchy there than Canada to leave the commonwealth. Like it or lump it, we will remain a member for some time to come.
