Island Park Beta???

Camping at McCrea Bridge this weekend. Plenty of paddle boarding, spinner fishing and hiking in area from Island Park to Ashton to Alta, WY. Will be with dogs. Anyone familiar with area specifics, please chime in

Some insanely overpriced gas in island park.

Nice drive north to Ennis.

Just south of MCcrea is Harriman state park. Great camping and fishing in the area. That's Warm River road and worth a trip around the loop over to the Mesa Falls.

Another cool drive is Grassy Lake road from that area, through the north Tetons on a FS road popping out into the north end of the JH valley. Originates from Ashton area and the Lake of the woods is a really cool stop.

Good fun north on Henry's lake too. Paddling and whatnot.

Thanks for the good info. But, it turns out that Hazel is in heat, so I'll delay the trip and store it for the next time. Bummer! The weather is finally turning a bit cooler, and it this that this would otherwise be a perfect camping weekend.
