Bahn mi at Juno's in Sacramento. I get one any time I'm down there. Mark makes his own sourdough--I got my starter from him. Really lovely people too, Mark, Sue and Amy. They put water out on the sidewalk for dogs and they have dog treats too. (Juno was a dog, RIP) A brisket sandwich from Roxie is an alternative if it's Th or Fri and I already had my bahn mi.
In Truckee--cheese steak at Full Belly Deli. Had one today.
If I had to choose going out for lunch or for dinner I'd do lunch. I don't have to choose, but I like to cook my own dinner most nights.

I don't agree with gyros and kebab being sandwiches. Then we have to call hmburgers and hot dogs sandwiches. I'd rather be able to pick a best sandwich, a best burger, a best gyro, and a dog. What if the Grammy's had only one category and Beyonce won every year?

I have no arguement with those that want separate categories for Other than traditional sandwiches, and for the function of this thread, I believe there is value in including other hand-held ( sandwiches ) !

A sandwich that a lot of places make around here is chicken cutlets, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and pesto on nice crusty bread of course. I think you could put fresh mozz and roasted peppers on dog shit and it would taste good.

Went there last month, I'll post pics from their recipe book eventually here for others to try out. The grilled cheese/collard green sandwich was as good as it gets IMO
