If you had enough money it generally didn't matter whether your right was junior or senior as long as you could afford to pay for a chunk of water in Ruedi Reservoir or Dillon Reservoir to offset your overage.
well of course, it's metered not just for shits and giggles, but to make sure that you don't exceed usage of your water right. But trust me, there are TONS AND TONS of wells across the west that are not metered.

And it's not so simple as "if you go over, you just pay". It's way more complicated than that. If you reach your limit and the water commissioner catches you still pumping/diverting, you get shut off. You don't just get handed an invoice.

Water can be ice, vapor, or liquid. It never goes away and you can’t make more.

    Google it.

All natural earth elements are the same.

I though most people knew this stuff. My bad.

So, when they shoot rockets into space, they're not really going into space because all matter on earth is static? And water may be made up of hydrogen and oxygen, but can never ever be separated into its component parts, it is always water till the end of all existence?

While you're Googling, you might want to try "electrolysis of water"

    Wait. What?

Electrolysis breaks water down into its component elements of oxygen & hydrogen.

Most hydrogen fuel cells create water as a byproduct.

All I know is that there is the same amount of “water” on earth now as there was when the earth was formed billions of years ago.

I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn last night but I did eat a can of Pringles for lunch.

I suggest you read the article.

ETA: matter in the universe stays constant. Nobody is arguing against that. That does not mean that the quantity of "water" -- in the form of vapor or liquid or solid -- stays constant on earth.

This is a problem all science struggles with.

90% of all stars (main sequence stars) fuse H to make He, but nobody can figure out how all the H came about to being.

I remember a blurb some years back that postulated that water is sentient, and humans are just a pinnacle of its evolution to experience the universe.

I’ll have to search, but I remember a credible report that there is more water within the earth’s mantle than all the water resting on the crust and atmosphere. Can’t recall any cycling of that water though, it’s been awhile since I read it. No idea if new understanding of the interior of the planet has improved on those analyses

astronauts pee gets expelled and asteroids bring magic water, but it’s relatively constant. Which is why the planet is inhabitable

Think Gatorade, it's mostly water but it's got a ton of electrolytes.

no doubt they're not in my wheelhouse. But are you suggesting that the article supports AK47bp's position that the amount of water remains completely constant on the planet as a matter of scientific law? Or that science in general supports that proposition? If you don't agree with his absolutist position or his interpretation of the article, how am I wrong?
