Not sure what that has to do with gunz and Seattle being dead, but that is my $.02
Ah, come on, the bread is much better at Panera. That said, it is a bit pricey.

I’m stuck eating there a bunch because of a picky kid.

The bread with butter and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup are pretty fucking good.

Oh, and stay away from Seattle, It’s a total shit hole wasteland.

Yeah, it's way better. Subway bread has a uniquely weird smell.

But there will be one opening soon in B'ham. And people are actually excited for it. In a subdued way, of course.

I know the smell. Smells like the last gas station in Idaho on 84 heading back to salt lake. We don't go to that one any more cause the subway smell is gross.
Subway in Jackson WY made me sick as a motherfucker like 20 years ago. Same with the one in wendover NV like 20 years ago. That ended subway for me.
    Tl/Dr: Subway sucks!

Hey Birdcunter, you’ll never taste any of this because your gun fever has not only affected your sexual performance but also sense of taste. Plus you will be too afraid of the folks of color in Lake City. Like all xenophobes, you’re also a coward. Enjoy the chain restaurants downtown and then go back to the shithole from which you came.

You might be a gun nut if....

A post on a ski forum gets under your skin and causes you to remark “this makes me want to buy more ammo”.

Your first thought after kids getting their faces blown off in a school shooting is “damn there’s probably going to be gun legislation coming”.

You find yourself saying “but what about Chicago” a lot.

Oh wow, all these Lake City joints look great but I feel a little guilty leaving my pooch at home.

No worries, hit up Dogwood Play Park. Its a bar AND a dog play park.

You can work for change in a positive way that doesn't leave you strung out and angry if that helps - there are plently of organizations looking for motivated individuals.

As for the other issues, racism, homophobia, hate, as Gandhi said: “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” Seek peace within yourself and you will find it in others.

    Namaste.
The politics of politeness is what got us to where we are over these past years of gun fever. “It is what it is” is going to lead nowhere. Not sure Gandhi is the right quote for this situation where kids are having their faces shredded beyond recognition with ar-15s.
A quote from the thought leader Flea seems more appropriate: “And I’m a pacifist/ So I can fuck your shit up”.

My shit got real on some Panera about 5 years ago so as a very longtime hater of Subway bread I'm interested to know where all the good bread is. Sandwich places, particularly. For reference, I used to love me some Togo's high density (sourdough?) subs, but I haven't had a proper one in ages. Firehouse, Blimpie and Jimmy all beat Subway in the final sprint, but they're not breaking away.

Does Lake City have the goods?

When I lived in Madrid in the late 90’s, the bread at Blimpies was the TITS. So perhaps you should go on a European sando chain tour and report back? I’m telling you, the Blimpies on Atocha was absolute fire.

I can't recall finding the bread to be the highlight yet, but having had a few great Blimpie's at random locations (gas station in Hurricane, UT for one) I find this completely believable. Adding Blimpie's to the Euro attractions list.

Shit. I wish I'd known that when thing #2 and I were in Madrid back in Feb of 2020. I would have checked it out for giggles. The food did not suck in Spain.

Really? The one time I went there, I wasn’t impressed. Maybe I should give them another shot.

So birdcunter posts shit about visiting Seattle and this is what he gets in return. I don't see the problem here. Come to my town and post shit about it and I'd...well, I'd probably agree if you're talking about main beach.

I with you on that. It's passable at best. But at least their bread doesn't want to make you throw up.

If I've learned nothing else from the TGRz, I've learned that West Coasters are an especially sensitive lot.
I'm pretty sure the EC would kick their ass in a civil war as long as Florida didn't fuck up and start friendly firing on the rest of us.

FL will be having a civil war with itself between the easterners in the south and the southerners in the north.
