so crusty in here, ask any web dev if they miss IE or Edge. xcode is also pretty good now, especially the ability to spin up an ios device to test. most of the popular apps for software these days are based on electron and on a unix flavor box you don’t have to run win git or git bash or download python. also swift > java although making steam games looks fun.

PowerBI - Business Intelligence tool to help analyze and visualize large swaths of data.
Policy deployment - governing policies around what you can control on your computer that's typically controlled centrally in any large institution (businesses, schools etc.). This helps with things like forcing updates when there are known exploits or malware in the wild to prevent those from accessing things like company resources because someone didn't update their computer.
Web standards - https://httptoolkit.tech/blog/safari...lling-the-web/ has a decent rundown. This is important because Safari is the browser you HAVE to use inside any ios app.
Xcode - apple dev studio. Given that objective C is the most dreaded modern language, color me suspicious things are in a good place (per apple "Objective-C is the primary programming language you use when writing software for OS X and iOS."). I know that Swift is an easier replacement, but it's still separate from all the other software ecosystems (Linux, Windows and embedded) - https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2022...ded-and-wanted
