Sure! Don't tempt me with a good time.

For the deck, I used the Sk8Kings Richy Carrasco Brown Bomber pro model V2. Him and his wife Maria are co-owners of the company, and I got outstanding service because "if I win, he wins cuz I'm on his pro model". He would let me send him videos and coach me over the phone. -->

For trucks, I used Don't Trip - Slalocybins. They make precision cnc trucks, and basically all the competitive-level slalomers ride them. They have adjustable bases for truck angle which I love. Recently, it became a popular thing for high-level downhillers to ride precision cnc slalom trucks too, so they came out with a line of fucking sick downhill trucks. Worth a look --> https://www.dtskate.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1963

For wheels, I rode 70mm/82A Turbo Wheels on tight slalom. --> https://www.sk8kings.com/Merchant2/m...K8KINGS030WL70

For Giant Slalom, I was riding some old 78mm Abec 11's, but I'm kicking myself for cheaping out and not getting a fresh set of Venom Magnums. They would have truly been the superior wheel --> http://venomskate.com/product-78mm-magnum/

Bearings were Oust 7 Speed Bearings -->
    https://www.oustbearings.com/shop-on...gs/moc-7-speed

Bushings were Riptide Bushings. Double barrel on the back and cone/barrel on the front. Also had a Riptide in-side footstop.

    Oh and BTW...

I WON 3RD PLACE IN GIANT SLALOM!

Not bad for 4 months of slalom skating

Actually had the second best time of the day in qualifiers, but caught a nasty headwind for finals. Different wheels and an aerosuit probz for next world's.

    I'm pretty hyped!!!

For years, I been in this mindset that ""professional skateboarding"" was only a state of mind and not an actually real thing... but like, I think I actually managed to do it

Thanks T!!!!! I'm riding pretty high right now!! Really happy to have so many wonderful people to share it with!!

It appears that the strategy for winning Women's World Skate is pressure control of your posture on the board.

The tighter the cones, the more back foot pressure. You just skate in a straight line with your head still and swing your arms to move you side to side.

Tight slalom is touch for me because this is a newer concept.

For the GS though, whoever drives the most forward foot pressure through their front truck seems to do the best. That was easy for me cuz I like to rampage downhill, so I did well.

I can see it translating tho because you snowskate moguls on your back foot and charge the bunny slope on the front foot.

So I really think the key is pressure control. It seems any arm swing will do if it works for you.

Also, the posture. You have to get really low. Much lower than snowskate where you can pretty much just ride totally upright

No, but I thought of you when we all went out to dinner together and my mom (Mrs. Chinese Iron Stomach) ordered a spread of weird local delicacies for everyone as appetizers.

Luckily, she only really managed to food poison herself and one other parent... the rest of us just took one or two little bites and shit our brains out 2-3 times and got over it by the morning.

Thanks!! Really, I just wanted to improve my snowskating a bit by crosstraining some slalom skating... did not expect to have such a talent for it!

But slalom skating is such a globally developed sport, so if it can take me around the world to see places I've only dreamed of, I ain't gonna wanna squander it!

The GSA is the antithesis of you.

    A GSA is:
    All show, no go.
    All prep, no rip.
    Max gear, flat beer.
    No send, no friends.
    3 GoPros, stoke no-show.

In the Tonya Harding strategy school of thought, I'm thinking sneak into your competitors suitcases and put sand in the undergarments.
