Yeah Maryhill is awesome!! Let's link up next time you come out!!

GS is way more like downhill. All the American women go freeriding and train on big ass hills so we know how to properly tuck and switch from carving to tucking without losing momentum. That's why we won all 4 top spots at GS

Isa, who won second, her dad runs the skate school at Mary Hill. I took his clinic in September before coming out to World Skate.

Was the big arm swings in the first few gates a Team USA method? I
So many others looked like they were either trying to use small edge changes to gather speed (or they were desperately trying not to DSQ)
Your way (and that of a few others) Seemed way faster

I actually think I might have been the only woman using them. Most of them were trying to "double pump" to try to generate speed, which my coach says is a fallacy.

I do the big arm swings because I'm trying to push as hard against my wheels as possible without sliding. The arms help that mechanism.

Like ski racing, carving juuust under the breaking point of your wheels sliding.

Yeah only for the Labor Day weekend fall RVOD freeride though. It was really good.

About half the students were from the Portland State University Skateboarding Class. The instructor at the university is also an instructor at Maryhill, so a bunch of his students came out.

A handful of the women from his class had only been skating for less than 6-months, and he had them raging full tuck down the hill.

If anyone is going to find a young woman and build her into the skate messiah, it will be him lol

    FINAL RESULTS OF WORLD SKATE

Team USA women's skateboard racing totally dominated, and the USA has the best women's skateboard racing program, period.

We ended up winning like half of all the medals that USA got at World Skate 2022.

Apparantly, I was not the only person who was trying to win women's world skate.
