Yeah, I definitely rode myself into shape on the trip. I could do probably double the daily mileage at the end that I could do at the beginning.

My first day was 431 miles, and was the longest Iíd ever ridden on a bike before, and coming home I did two 800+ mile days in four days and felt pretty good

Wow. Missed this thread. That is stunning. Not just the effort but also the writing.

Wrigley before lights was epic. Still is. Fenway has a better vibe these days.
And komiskey. Wtf. They tore down the oldest stadium to make a sanitized experience. I chuckled at the mall references so many parks have been ruined.

And what the fuck is Malort?

Lived in Chicago for twenty years been to many bars and wtf.
Itís the new jaŽgermeister or fireball.

This is just epic. Beyond words, thanks for bringing us along. Catches ball in first park - but then catches second ball with brandy old fashioned in other hand - there must be video of this out there somewhere!
    Iím in awe.
    What an accomplishment.

    Yo Phil.
Your website needs the narrative you typed here.

Was talking to a friend and figured I’d send him your web link. But I’m not a video guy. The narrative is awesome.
Please add it to the site.

    Oh cool, thanks for sharing!

I definitely need to do more with writing, all the video content, and staying on schedule. Unfortunately (well, fortunately) I came home to a fairly big work project, so this strictly personal work has to take a back seat for the time being. I also need to sit and process the trip in a way I have more to say about it than just the blow by blow I posted here.

Here's the latest video for anyone interested - a quick one about my evening in Houston:

Dude. The blow by blow verbiage is entertaining.
I know you’ll edit it. But please don’t ruin it.

The videos are cool and well done. But doesn’t touch me like your words. Maybe I’m old school. But reading your words I felt the pain and adventure and thrill of the journey.

Take your brain droppings from the posts here and compile them but don’t sanitize them.

Awesome TR, thanks for posting! I'd like to do this sometime with hockey rinks. Might be a bit chilly on a moto though : )
