    Resale on a bike

Have an opportunity to build out a bike that I will sell in a couple years. Enduro versus Spire. Enduro is heavier, and for me ends up with a buiold kjit I don't like as much. I would prefer the spire. The question is can I sell the spire with all the on line stuff talking about how awesome the Enduro is?

I'd bet a shiny nickel that specialized comes out with a new enduro next year. It'll be harder to sell your enduro if there's a new fancy thing for sale.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Also, the Spire has gotten really good reviews as well.

The other thing I always consider is who is most likely to be interested in buying a particular brand used, and how much they're going to want to haggle on price. Lots of beginner / inexperienced riders go for the biggest brands that they've heard of like Spec and Santa Cruz, and are also less likely to understand the value of a particular used bike's build. Transition has a bit of a cult following, and people looking for a particular model of theirs is more likely to know the value of that bike / components.

Resale is generally better on a Transition than Specialized purely based on the the volume of used bikes from each brand. Personally I wouldn't by a used Enduro with all the warrantied rear ends they have needed, im sure there is some that feel the same way.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
