    anyone ever have Alps sandals?

    those were the shit

way better than Tevas then Teva bought them then killed them

I hoarded a few pair then Chaco came out

    I still like my Z2

these look worth trying for sure

I'm ordering some 13s and hoping they are a bit big. I generally wear a 14 in most shoes, but sometimes tough to find in sandals. I've been wearing a pair of Sole (the insole maker) for 10 years and they are close to shot.

I wouldn’t say they run big. One the website, it says half sizes should order the next larger size. I normally wear 10.5, so I ordered 11, and they fit great, without any slop. I’m glad I didn’t order size 10. But, as they say, YMMV.

Fuck teva. The original, but damn those nylon straps will chafe.

These are made from angel skin. Best straps out of the box. Hoping it’s durable cause I’m wearing every minute I’m not at work.

PS. These are true to size. If you’re a 14 13 ain’t gonna work.

Wondering how stretch will go over time (FAQ says 10%). Volume is good as new.
Comfortable for all day wear - been wearing them everywhere the last couple days. Headed to the coast next week so I’ll test them on the sand too
Style-wise I’m on the fence: the wider top strap isn’t my favorite; the kid called them “hippy flips” with an eye roll for old guy footwear. Not sure I’d agree, but then I suppose I’m an old guy to a teen.

I’ll get a review on the site after my beach trip

Oh, bummed I missed this opportunity. I'm in the market, was going to wait until August/September sales for a chaco refresh.

Let us know if they come out with some regular flip flops. My Chacos are just about done, which means they still have a year or two left in them.

The slides are fkna nice. I’ve never had a toe strap and a scuff combination.
    They don’t flip or flop.
    So it’s less noisy.

I’ve never really liked slides. I like something between my toes.

My only suggestion would be for tread labs to make a softer cushier version of the slides.
The firm sole of the straps is great for hiking.

But I miss the cushy heel of my olu Kai and reefs.
I tend to use flip flops for heel cushion even indoors or in the garage to help my back.

I got mine Saturday and spent a few hours in them yesterday. So far, I really like them, they don't irritate my Morton's nueroma like Teva's do. Thanks for the hook up, I'll do a real review on the website soon!

And then you can send them back and get re-soled.

I got some more codes from my brother-in-law after describing the Maggot experience. Seems we’re his target market.! Hit me up via pm and I’ll share another round of codes.

Send photos of your partners feet… he’s into that… obviously.

I liked the look of single’s Tread Labs.

Has anyone worn the slides at the beach yet? I like thongs because they dump sand quickly.

These will not dump sand like a flip flop… but they also won’t flip. Or flop. So there’s that.

I like the idea of the slides

I don’t like flip flops for actually walking

I think based on the sandals I'm going to try the insoles with metatarsal pads. It seems like they know what they are doing.

Took my new pair of Tread Labs out out for a proper shake down.

    Compared to Chaco’s:
Super soft and stretchy straps (no chafe of boa constrictor action of new Chaco’s), light weight (like half the weight), flexible (more like springy?), and dried super quick (even with ocean salt water).

Chaco’s may only be better in super rough hiking terrain with the stiffer midsole.

    Chaco’s = hiking boots
    Tread Labs = trail runners.

My brother-in-law is here visiting for two weeks… I’ll pass along any and all reports from Mag’s to him regarding your impressions and performance. Get out there and enjoy your Summer!

    my only concern is volume

what I always liked about selling Chacos is that you can get them to fit on almost any foot if you get the length right

how do these fit for super fat or super skinny feet?

I like the minimalist design of a true flip flop. They have been my primary foot wear since college in the 70s, and pretty much my only summer footwear since I was a little kid...life in southern California. Of course in the 60@ there were no high end flip flops, just the cheap grocery store version. I was never into hurrachis or tire tread sandals of the 60s and 70s.

but when I was a kid my water shoes were Keds or Chuck Taylor’s

I'm TL curious... But I can't be the only one that thinks the strap looks a little like a women's one-piece swim suit?

Filling this away as an option for when my OG chaco Z1s wear out!

Holy shit, best sandals ever. They fit like I've worn them for a year right out of the box. Straps are so very soft and non chafey. Any more codes?

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
