NHL 2022-2023 Season
The draft is starting! Letang back in Pitt. Russians having issues returning. They are being scooped up by the Russian government.
MONTREAL -- Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin said he is still gathering information about a Russian media report that star Kirill Kaprizov is wanted by police in a case involving fraudulent military IDs.

NHL 2022-2023 Season
I started the 2022-2023 thread yesterday. Search function
. I’ll see if I can delete mine
The “Russian Gate” stuff is still a bit cloudy. My local Wild beat writer Russo had a long article on this on The Athletic yesterday. When the Wild Good morning. says $Krill is “fine”, it does make me nervous.
The last few years of the Letang contract may be tough on Pit.
Kemper out in CO. No shocker there.
Hawks trade DeBrincat to Ottowa for #7, #39, and one more pic.
Things could be interesting tonight to see where some of the top free agents go / trades, etc.

Wild resign Fleury. 2 years, $3.5 a year. I’ll take some low priced stability in net

Betman is the worst public speaker ever. He gets worse every year. He shakes like he has turrets. Someone get him a public speaking coach. Or send out another NHL suit.

Caps looking for a Vet goaltender to backup the young ones. Current rumor is Jake Allen. Kinda boring but I suppose at the right price a good deal.

DeAngelo to Philthy. Seems like a better fit. I will say he pretty much stayed out of trouble here in KaKalaKi. Earned his money, stayed out of the news..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

I think my Islanders shot themselves in the foot firing Trotz.
It was a horrible season compared to expectations but I think they were getting back on track the second half of the season.
They need to find some goal scoring players to make the playoffs though.

Correct, this was their issue. Not the coach. However, Trotz seems to be relieved, being unshackled from coaching. It seems he’s may actually move on from it.

Rumor is Caps are eyeing up Kuemper. Not a fan! Would much rather Gibson.

The Avs won in spite of him, not because of him.

Leafs manage to get rid of broken goalie Mrazek - genius! Now we can get, like, ANY goalie!!
5 days later...
Matt Fucking Murray?

Caps have also cut loose both goalies. New one now inevitable. Thank god it’s not Matt Murray!

I am now a Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov fan. What a time to be alive...
Still no Kuemper signing which seems strange to me.

Buh bye Johnny.
As fun as he was to watch, I don't think he was the guy to take us deep in the playoffs. He gets pushed around too much and basically disappears.
Not sure who's left at this point but at least the Flames have some cap room now.

Good for Kemper. Not so good for the Capitals.
I think I could get a contract from ChicagoWow, are they in rebuild mode.
Tampa spent some money today on three eight year deals.
Think the Pens end up regretting the Malkin resigning. 4 @ 24.6. Those last years will hurt.
Burns from SJ to Carolina. Loved that guy when he was in MN.

It's that time of year when I pray that none of my jerseys become obsolete due to trades.. Applies to NFL as well..

NHL 2022-2023 Season
Rumors Johnny Gurdeau was offered 7 years @ 12 million per from Columbus
He’s good, but not that good. Devils and Islanders also in the mix.
