At the quarter mark and it's been a shaky start for the home team. Not unexpected. Getting the Flower was a bad trade and the Suter/Parise was a great pickup at a horrible price that everyone knew would come back to bite us which it did with no cap space to keep Fiala. Now the complaint is the team can't score and our #1 pick just got sent back down to the minors. Do have to give the team a thumbs up for their actions at the Coyote game last Sunday. Puck got into the stands and hit a young boy. After the medical crew took care of him, several players invited him and his friends to come meet. They gave each of the boys a signed game stick. Nicely done.

Bruins continue to impress. New all-time record for consecutive home wins to start a season with 13 now after a hard-fought game with Tama Bay tonight.
I've really come around on Taylor Hall, when he first got to the B's he seemed like he had a prima donna attitude but eroded skills, but he has completely changed, he works hard, he makes plays, he's been great. A former league MVP on the 3rd line and it's working.

Tkachuk gets a standing ovation rather than chorus of boos on his return to Cgy. Then the Flames finally win a game.

Bruins/Knights tonight. Early 2-0 lead for Vegas, but I imagine Boston will be pushing hard and make it interesting.
Should be a good one

The second half of this third period has felt like playoff hockey. Really high energy

Buffalo was up 9-2 over Columbus after 2 and Thomson had a hat trick in the 1st and had 5 goals after 2.
