RIP Mr Bookman-Philip Baker Hall
Philip's wife, Holly Wolfle Hall, confirmed that the Seinfeld and Magnolia actor died Sunday evening surrounded by loved ones, according to the Associated Press.
“His voice at the end was still just as powerful,” Holly said.
Philip's death was first announced in a tweet by his friend and neighbor Sam Farmer on Monday.
Farmer wrote: “My neighbor, friend, and one of the wisest, most talented and kindest people I’ve ever met, Philip Baker Hall, died peacefully last night.
"He was surrounded by loved ones. The world has an empty space in it.”
Philip's cause of death has not yet been confirmed.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
"Happiest years of my life were earning < $8.00 and hour, collecting unemployment every spring and fall, no car, no debt and no responsibilities. 1984-1990 Park City UT"

That monologue he laid on Jerry was one of the first really great things they did and I don't think anyone ever got the floor like that again. Complete with Seinfeld standing there admiring the performance. Perfect. Dude had a gift.

Lieutenant Bookman.
20 years on the job in the New York Public Library. I bet he turned down the promotion to Captain three times so he could keep working cases. Protecting that kid. Dedication.
