i misunderstood the bonus points: they just add to the day's total, not credits for trades (shoot)

The Jumbo kits look like they just finished a muddy cross race. I hope that doesn't predict them hitting the deck a bunch again this year.

I'll take 2nd for the start but there is still a lot of race left. Hoping for crosswinds chaos on the 18km bridge tomorrow, fantasy rankings be damned

Day old post, but went out for a little pre-tour ride yesterday, then wandered across the bridge for the spectacle. Been to other world tour events, but never any of the grand tours... TdF is absolutely next level. Media/support/fans is unreal.

Fans going crazy as Mads goes by. Excited to see so many people stoked on road biking.

Interesting...the fantasy site is showing Jakobsen as "Out". Pretty sure he just won the stage?

2022 TDF Fantasy Challenge (SPOILER ALERT)

Great stage, the Danes are putting on a good show, huge crowds. Loved when Magnus Cort Nielson took the last KOM, hands up, crowd going nuts. Good stuff
The EF kits are so fucking awesome

While there were some wheel touches today that caused troubles, there seemed to be less anxiety-ridden get-to-the-front goofiness today than last year’s opening stages…maybe just wider roads with fewer turns today?

Same here, man this has been a great start to the tour. Magnus Cort is so fun to watch, Denmark did it up right.

Anybody know why Sagan was all butthurt at the end?
His line was kinda blocked but not because WVA tried to fuck him up
    - sucked to be him

I don’t believe he did it on purpose, but WvA definitely moved off his line toward Sagan, but didn’t completely block him.

Sagan had to stop pedaling for a moment as WVA veered into him, probably could have taken the win if he had a clear shot.

Mixed emotions seeing Groenewegen win. What he did wasn’t much worse than what all sprinters do at one point or another and the poor barrier design made the crash worse, still feels strange

And now Ewan is mad because he was denied a line
Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) was left angry and frustrated on stage 3 of the Tour de France after he felt as though his chance at victory was taken away by riders veering from their line in the sprint into Sønderborg.
The Australian said he had nowhere to go after Wout van Aert and Peter Sagan veered to the right, leaving him boxed in by the barriers. In the end, it was Dylan Groenewegen that took the win in a photo finish.

Lotta butthurt. I didn’t see any lanes on the run-in saying “reserved for Peter Sagan and Caleb Ewan”

I don’t see WVA “veering” at the end. Pretty straight line to me

Ewan has more than just his palmarès riding on his shoulders right now. Lotto and BikeX are neck and neck in points for the final World Tour spot at the end of this season.

If I had to guess, Lotto and Israel will both be pro Conti teams next year. Ewan's three year contract isn't looking so smart if that happens.

    ^^^ Yup makes sense

Speaking of Lotto Soudal, happy 40th birthday to Philippe Gilbert.
    Still remember this from 2018

He rode the final 60km home on a busted kneecap. Cha-fucking-peau!
