The team presentation was today in Copenhagen so all teams have been finalized in theory, but riders are testing positive for covid every day so lineups are still shifting. Notably, Trentin is out and Jungels is likely out as well.

Also Mollema is probably good for a stage win or two now that he isn't a GC contender anymore, these parcours are good for him to win from breakaways.

Trentin replaced by Marc Hirschi who won a stage in 2020. Last year he separated his shoulder in stage 1 but still finished. No slouch

FYI, the site says the deadline to have a team selected is "08:00" tomorrow. Not sure what time zone that is but I'd make sure to have a team complete by no later than midnight MDT tonite.

13 entries this year...I think that maybe an all time high!

I wonder what Mrs. Hubbs is going to do with all that cash.

I’m in for $10, but might skip for $20 as I’m already in 2 other leagues

Not sure how much more serious $10 is going to make it but in these difficult times if everyone's ok with ten
then so be it. Don't want to scare anyone off.

I'm in for $20. If the collective says $10 that's fine too.

U see there is the option to select a stage winner that I assume will be daily. Thats going to be huge..

Anyone know if riders will be able to be dropped/picked up mid race?

There is also the guess at fastest time for stage 1 tt. I'm thinking high 15min. Ideas?

2022 TDF Fantasy Challenge (SPOILER ALERT)

I’m ok either $10/20, but will vote for more participants than payout if we’re voting

I've got some kind of bug (negative covid test but it was expired) and don't have the energy to address the $$$ issue. Guess we'll play I
t by ear. Pretty sure you won't be able to make changes once the stage starts but if somebody knows otherwise, feel free to chime in.

I meant mid race... as in day to day. I know I've been playing this with you guys for a while, so maybe dumb question.. but a decade ago when I first did the fantasy tour thing and actually put time into it we were two or three hosts back and your lineup for stage 1 was locked for the whole tour. Maybe I need to get with the times?

You’ll be able to make 8 rider changes throughout the tour.
Pick your “Road Captain” each day, and that guy doubles your points.

Note that you can’t drop a 12pt rider & pick up a 22pt rider. Your team total budget still has to work throughout.
So, that may screw with your trades or if a rider gets hurt…or you gotta do some calculus/tetris to get a better rider.

The game used to lock rider selection for the whole tour before stage 1.
Then ASO decided to block unaffiliated fantasy games from their results database, thereby creating a monopoly. And instituted the 8 trade rule (more if you win quiz points).

Hence the name of my team…

And my guess on fastest time in prologue matches yours.

2022 TDF Fantasy Challenge (SPOILER ALERT)

Yeah, my TT time prediction is gonna be off
And my sleeper gamble on Kung not gonna pay off
(And having lots of second thoughts on my team…I need to lean in to less gambling and more “favorite” odds…oh well!)

Team EC gambling on points players - I never considered fielding less than 8. Let’s see how it plays out for him, Cotton

You need to field a full team of 8, he will not get any points until he fields a full team.

Bunch of us had Kung for the stage. Saw a post race interview with him, he said he just couldn’t take the chances given how wet it was. Oh well

And 52kph is way faster than I thought possible given the rain and a couple of the corners.
