Feeler: Awesome Brooklyn 12' Tandem Fishing Kayak

BKC TK122 Angler 12-foot, 8 inch Tandem Sit On Top Fishing Kayak w/ Upright Aluminum Frame Seats and Paddles.
I'm thinking of selling this and trading for a Bote inflatable.
Brooklyn makes a great kayak, and mine is mint (less than 5 days on water), but it is heavy (75lbs) and difficult to transport on the roof of my SUV and too long to fir nicely in the 5 1/2' bed of my truck. Great kayak for anyone angler with a lot of muscle, a trailer or longer truck bed. It runs for about $1400 retail, and I would probably let it go for $750 picked up in UT.

Would you be comfortable driving this from Park City to Jackson?

It is much easier to to get the kayak on the back of the truck than the top of my SUV. It seems secure.

Haha if I was a fish I wouldn’t go anywhere near a kayak with those colors.

I’d drive with it like that no problem. Hang a red flag on the end to avoid cops. A cheap ladder rack might be your best bet though.

Are you kidding? Have you ever seen some of the Crocodile lures? Fishies are attracted to these colors:

But even then, you use a size too big and you aren’t catching shit. A 12’ lure would scare everything in sight.

The problem isn't the kayak, its the truck bed. But we've got a different thread for that. Those BOTE inflatable fishing kayak look pretty sweet. That said, I'd like to see the setup/breakdown before I bought one.

Loaded the kayak in the bed this morning and went for a paddle at Jordanelle. 10 minutes to load 10 minutes to unload no problem. Felt very secure. Much easier than loading it on the top of the SUV. Good fishing today too.
