No Nurse should be prescribing ssri’s. Nothing has change about that from my first comment. Nurses, nurse practitioner. =semantics.
A nurse can take my blood pressure and prescribe lisinopril based on the results. What screening are they using to prescribe lexapro to everyone? None.
It’s addictive, and you can’t just stop taking in it. You need months to ween off it. I know parents who give their kids that shit and the kids forget to take it, the they start freaking out from withdrawal.

If only there was something we could do...
When my son was 10 his mother remarried and he had issues. The school recommended counseling and testing. One day I’m in a psychiatrists office with my ex, set up, and they say their going to put him on an SSRI. I told them sure, just show me the court order! Wish I had a camera for her face.
Instead we double downed on baseball, driving all over the country, spending 10’000’s of dollars now hes throwing 93 mph and going to play D-1 Juco and is as happy as an 18 yr can be.
The alternative would have him on that shit the rest of his life.
Because there is no other treatment except take more pills. No plan.

Since your team loves whataboutism so much let’s play…
If Fox News worked for the other side they’d be amplifying reports that the good guy with a gun was an obvious fake and the original gunman was an actor who pretended to get shot and all the people shot were actually actors with fake blood etc to convince everyone that the shooter was taken out by a bystander all to advance the “good guy with a gun” narrative.
Sheesh, good thing we don’t have to deal with that nonsense this time right !?!... jfost is really ignorant, he often just needs simple facts laid out for him...

Glad that someone got a lucky shot in. Be interesting to hear if they were one of the high risk occupation CCL/CCW people (security, repo, bounty hunter, etc) or just some other fool who got lucky. It hardly makes up for all the carnage happening around town from guns left in cars by these idiots.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

We should just do away with law enforcement and return to the Wild West. Everyone packs a firearm and we police ourselves. Sounds like utopia. Vigilante justice is what elevates a society.

If only there was something we could do...
That’s kinda what we have now.
Do you want to be the dipshit settler who shows up with a wagon full women, children and a grand piano but no means to protect yourself?
After all, the frontier type thinking is our history. I think it’s significant in a country where there are limited safety nets.

Bad training. What’s interesting is when I speak to my bro in law who did 30 yrs in bank robbery FBI he said whenever they planned to take someone down they always did it where there was a good back stop for bullets.
The average cop shoots his gun a lot less than a recreational shooter.

^bad training or poor decision making by a cop? you think the denver pd or any other pd trains it’s officers to fire indiscriminately into a crowd? ….don’t answer that, I’ll bet they do.

Daily death and terrorization of public spaces is just a small price to pay for a small number of people to be able to shoot targets recreationally.

If only there was something we could do...
The average beat cop has almost no handgun training. FBI vs average cop is like HS droppit vs law school grad. MTT would smoke them all with a cigarette in his mouth and a bag of Groceries under one arm.
And yes, I’ll listen to a 30!yr FBI vet who says bad training every time.

And I’d bet my family killed more Nazis or did more to rid the world of Nazis than your plus McPhee combined.
And no, to the ignorant ameriCANS in here, not everyone in SA is a Nazi, nor do they all look like Mexicans.
