OK. But that means we've gotta regulate guns more too.

The druggies are trying to help correct this trend. Here lately at the meth and fentanyl gatherings, the "job" of one of the attendees is to remain sober enough to administer the Narcan.

Can't say the same for myself or my kids. We live a charmed life.

Your need to join the crowd is pathetic. Hope you enjoy your TGR popularity and all it has to offer.

Now go punch some gun owners in the face, Raging Bull.

I would take a hard look on the inside as to why one would feel the need to make personal attacks towards a stranger on a ski forum.

Albeit from the safety of a device.

A few of you definitely don't need to own firearms. I can agree with that.

That would do a lot more to curb gun deaths than an assault weapons ban.

The majority of gun deaths are fueled by drug and gang activity. Probably 80%.

Yeah, those gangs shooting up schools is serious issue.

Some people just luv their gunz more than innocent school children. That's the bottom line. Just look at this thread. Clear as day who the few are in here and they might be the more reasonable gun owners out there.

A lot of smoking deaths are sort of baked in because cancer and other health problems take a long time to develop. Cigarette smoking on the other hand among U.S. adults is around all-time lows.

A lot of that comes down to higher taxes on cigarettes and public health messaging. There's a younger generation of Americans who grew up fully aware of the hazards associated with smoking.

Maybe we should raise taxes on guns and use the revenues to fund public health campaigns exposing the dangers of unsecured guns in America?

More of an issue than mass shootings yes. By a large margin.

It's just not televised, so you don't know about it.

So you’re saying that people who chose the gang life getting murdered is more of an issue than kids getting murdered in school because one demographic’s murder rate is a bigger number than the other? Sounds about right with you. It’s all about the bigger number with you.

It's not like any meaningful legislation is coming from The Padded Room.

And if it does... It'll be my Class 3 idea.

    Not at all.

I'm saying drug reform would do more for curbing gun deaths than an assault weapons ban.

I'm not assigning value to the dead. I would bet more innocent bystanders are killed by gang/drug violence than in mass shootings.

Guns are actually a lot like cigarettes. They make the user/owner feel better but they are actually quite dangerous to that person and everyone else around them, especially immediate family..

Unless you are one of the people involved in the 1500 instances of defensive use per year. I bet those people are safer.
