I have little hope any of that will withstand the challenge.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Since this happened in CS I'm sure there were a decent number of local citizens who think the people who got shot had it coming.

Fox News article comments mostly focused on "this is to be expected when our societies values have been corrupted beyond repair by the woke left from the good Christian country we once were", and "I do not condone this violence, but what did they expect to happen in that house of abject sin? obviously more sin!?".

common sense gun control is common sense. But there is something else going on in this country that needs to be addressed also to prevent these mass atrocities from being carried out... and its not one single thing, and i certainly do not have the answer. But common sense gun control is just one piece of this puzzle. Sad and shitty situation.

common sense isn’t really a shared value anymore

    sort of like “patriotism”

or “ethics” or “responsible” or “law-abiding”

Another example of how the people most afraid of having their guns take away are the people who really shouldn't have those guns.. If you think you NEED a gun and aren't in a profession where carrying a gun is ?normal" or don't have a documented violent stalker restraining order you probably shouldn't carry a gun at all.. Being afraid of public spaces and society is a reg flag, not a justification...

Eh, im totally fine with CC permits as long as the background check is as in-depth as my tenant screening process... meaning you do all the normal background check stuff w/ references plus a face-to-face interview where i judge the shit out of your character. But alas, its it much more difficult to rent my shitty 2 bdrm condo than it is to buy an AK47 with banana clip.

One great thing on measure 114 was getting rid of the 3-day release on the background check if not finished by then

I'd prefer a true employment or other documented reason.. Also, they should have to pass the same standards mental, physical, proficiency that LEOs are required to carry.. ANNUALLY! A lot can happen in 5 years..
