how do you get your sports news?

What's your favorite online place for sport news? I currently visit the ESPN homepage a couple times a day but but the wheat/chaff ratio is all wrong.

    Things I care about:
    - scores and relevant storylines for most north american sports
    - highlight videos
    - long form articles

    Things I don't care about:
    - fantasy sports
    - tabloid stuff
    - offseason contract/draft drama

I'm willing to put a little bit of effort into it, also willing to pay for good journalism

I use ESPN for stats and box scores. I pay for The Athletic for journalism. It's really good, especially if they have a beat writer covering your team.

I can give you a referral code to it, if you're interested.

I just phone up Joe Buck and have him tell me sports bedtime stories until I fall asleep.

For nhl/mlb/milb/mls I tend to use the league website for scores because they aren’t buried. Twatter. Theatletic seems to have done good stuff in a more classic us ball sports way. Twatter

For in-depth info and deeper articles about my local teams and other sports I follow, The Athletic is top notch. Have to pay a yearly subscription for it. $60 or so. Well worth it for myWild coverage.

Many of the best MN sports writers left the local newspapers and went The Athletic.

Another vote for the Athletic! Not for scores but they have picked up a lot of the sports writers in the major markets or national magazines like SI. If the cover your city/teams - it is great coverage and you also get great national stories. I think I have the ability to send you a 30 day trial so PM me if interested.
