First vinyl - Def Leppard Pyromania

First CD -Metallica Master of Puppets or Queensryche Rage for Order

I think I bought them both at the same time but it's hazy.

Not because it was my first choice, but because I left the cassette case on the dashboard of the car... in July. 9-year-old me bought 17 tapes that summer, paid for by doing shit work for my mom, or anyone that didn't object to exploiting child labor. Fortunately, it happens to be one of the best studio albums of all time, so that's a plus.

I'm pretty sure it was Bad Company's Run With The Pack. I probably still have it in a box somewhere; heh, not still in regular rotation.

I can’t help but think of Will Farrell’s Aqualung flute scene in Anchorman whenever Tull comes up.

My first Album was Men at Work. I believe it was a present. I then pivoted to cassettes. They were not originals, but quickly collected most every Zeppelin album. First DVD I think was Dark Side of the Moon. For some reason, it's all a bit foggy.

I don't remember the first record album bought, but the first CD was David Bowie, Let's Dance. Still have it.

That's a good one. I remember feeling not as cool as my friend when we got outside the record store (circa 1980) and I had bought NRBQ's Live at Yankee Stadium (itself a great album) but he had bought that first Clash album. "I'm So Bored of the USA" has stuck with me ever since.

Not sure but I think it was Huey Lewis - Sports
I was a little kid and this was right around the time Back to the Future came out so when my parents asked my brother and I if we wanted to add a record to the collection I went with that.

First one I ever bought myself was either Licensed to Ill or He’s the DJ I’m the Rapper

It was the early 80's... but I don't remember if it was a Huey Lewis cassette or Hall & Oates.
